It's sad that a successful TH-cam company doesn't have the time to play 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds. But maybe that's why it's so successful. Apparently that's enough for normal viewers. But at Eurovision, the entire 3 minutes are planned down to the smallest detail and that's what you should watch.
Yeah especially Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and even Armenia would have been appreciated much more with the whole performance. And don‘t think it makes sense to them to try to guess the order of the top 10 since they probably don‘t even know how the scoring works with jurys and public

Probably ‘cause they’d have to record so much with all the duos. And edit it all down this short. Now it’s 10 songs about 30 sec (=5 min) instead of 10 songs 3 min (=30 min). Plus their commentary and scoring.

The current methodology makes no sense, because how can they rank before they've seen everything. Give them 10 movable labels/magnets and let them rank them relative to each other as they go along.
Why not show the full performances off screen? I feel like you guys are leaving out the best bit and you wouldn't be able to judge fully! 10 songs x 3 minutes = 30 mins, surely it's not that long for them to watch the full version?
Too long unless you're Alexandrumic. Engagement typically declines over the course of a long video so you have to keep people to tune in so keeping it short and sweet when showing reactions of half a dozen people in a single video is the ideal route to go.
These people never realise there is more than ten acts competing. Getting in the top 10 altogether is a great result. Heck, even top 15 is good and getting to the grand final in general is decent enough.

They tried doing an American Song Contest. It lasted one year and was a total flop. I listened to some of the songs and they just don't get Eurovision enough to do it justice. Eurovision is so unique in what songs are being made. There's variety in all genres, but still so very Eurovision!

This is probably THE year where I would have loved watching them react to the voting portion. It was madness. When Ukraine overtook a certain country after receiving +300 votes from the televote, everyone went crazy.
Showing these short clips is not really representative for some of the performances. Ireland was just wild. And as someone who's grown up with Eurovision, I never expected them to be in the top ten. Also Americans, this is a singing competition, not a most outragous performance one. Portugal and France's vocal performances were fantastic. But overall this year was a bit meh in my opinion.
Heeey... the host and the public sang very nicely. And the former winner guests too. Also don't care much for the newer tradition of bring Hollywood celebs just because they have origins in the host country, but are otherwise Americans. They look awkward and out of place.
This is not actually a singing competition, but a SONG competition. Different things 🤷🏼♀️ Obviously singing skills matter and a lot appreciate them but the whole set (singing, song and performance) matter and is meant to matter! The juries usually focus on the singing skills and how difficult the performance is yes, but we still have the public vote too.
The eurovision is whole 3 minutes. You missed so many climaxes like in Portugal, acapella in Italy, laying on the ground in Ukraine, whole performance of Ireland...
I dont think they told the reviewers about the pronouns at all, they just assumed based on Nemo's appearance. Which is fair enough, Imo it's the staff/hosts that are slacking by not informing the (re)viewers.
Seriously you could've made a bigger effort. The show takes place once a year, not showing full performances is ridiculous and makes them unable to value the songs/efforts properly. Many of those clips don't do the performances justice. Disappointed in this video and I've been waiting a lot for it. Sad.

I hate when people say that sound we have (Angelina Mango song) is "latino" as latin america... like, do you know we have folkloristic music like that in Italy? since before the year 1000 to be clarify. it's OUR sound, is not latino only because she's talking about the cumbia dance. This a pop song but the influence of the sound is taranta and pizzica which are italian dances.

Americans are just dumb. For them latin is not something Italian or Spanish etc it’s latinos and mostly about Brazil or Columbia. Or slavic for them it’s only Russians who are in fact and reality linguistically and ethnically the lesser slavic than other slavs like Polish or Ukrainians.

Like just look at Switzerland - sure it was the climax of the song they saw, but it hits kinda different after you’ve watched/listened to Nemo rap just before then sung opera.
Compared to the reactions of the past couple of years, this was probably the most respectful one. And considering how messy and controversial Eurovision was this year, it's quite ironic. xD
The current methodology makes no sense, because how can they rank before they've seen everything. Give them 10 movable labels/magnets and let them rank them relative to each other as they go along.

Why not show the full performances off screen? I feel like you guys are leaving out the best bit and you wouldn't be able to judge fully! 10 songs x 3 minutes = 30 mins, surely it's not that long for them to watch the full version?

Too long unless you're Alexandrumic. Engagement typically declines over the course of a long video so you have to keep people to tune in so keeping it short and sweet when showing reactions of half a dozen people in a single video is the ideal route to go.

These people never realise there is more than ten acts competing. Getting in the top 10 altogether is a great result. Heck, even top 15 is good and getting to the grand final in general is decent enough.

They tried doing an American Song Contest. It lasted one year and was a total flop. I listened to some of the songs and they just don't get Eurovision enough to do it justice. Eurovision is so unique in what songs are being made. There's variety in all genres, but still so very Eurovision!

This is probably THE year where I would have loved watching them react to the voting portion. It was madness. When Ukraine overtook a certain country after receiving +300 votes from the televote, everyone went crazy.
Judging songs on these clips is a crime. Im pretty sure thats the reason Nemo didn´t perform on these reactors lists as well..

Showing these short clips is not really representative for some of the performances. Ireland was just wild. And as someone who's grown up with Eurovision, I never expected them to be in the top ten. Also Americans, this is a singing competition, not a most outragous performance one. Portugal and France's vocal performances were fantastic. But overall this year was a bit meh in my opinion.
Heeey... the host and the public sang very nicely. And the former winner guests too. Also don't care much for the newer tradition of bring Hollywood celebs just because they have origins in the host country, but are otherwise Americans. They look awkward and out of place.
This is not actually a singing competition, but a SONG competition. Different things 🤷🏼♀️ Obviously singing skills matter and a lot appreciate them but the whole set (singing, song and performance) matter and is meant to matter! The juries usually focus on the singing skills and how difficult the performance is yes, but we still have the public vote too.

I dont think they told the reviewers about the pronouns at all, they just assumed based on Nemo's appearance. Which is fair enough, Imo it's the staff/hosts that are slacking by not informing the (re)viewers.

Seriously you could've made a bigger effort. The show takes place once a year, not showing full performances is ridiculous and makes them unable to value the songs/efforts properly. Many of those clips don't do the performances justice.
