I'm a professional painter. LMB Painting. I have this product. Saves tons of time. Pretty good lines. Finish on the down stroke to eliminate wheel tracks. Adjust mini brush. Keep a rag handy to wipe excess paint off periodically. Yes some spots may have to be cut in by hand. Overall I like this product. It is sturdy and dependable. You can use one knap per color or job then toss. Machine is easy to clean, wheels are fine, if you take care of your tools. Again it's main 2 functions, time saver and pretty good lines, does both. I rate it a 7 putts 10. Whatever issues you may think it causes, the 2 main functions out way those knit picky issues. So if job has to be done perfect maybe not but, for jobs that are in and out and short deadlines and near perfection is good enough this works fine.
If you are a professional painter I am a master painter
i was going to comment the same thing finish with roller side following behind wheels to avoid the marks they did it backwards several times
Geez...read the instructions already. I usually like what you post here, but you missed with this one. You only go in one direction and there will be no track marks from the wheels. Even I got that, without the benefits of the instructions.
Thanks for your input… 7out of 10 would be disrespecting our efforts trying to a 10/10 outfit. But very good for , like you say , in and out ( in our neck of the woods we call it “down and dirty”… I found this product sub par… but there are clients that do not need “fine finishing” check out my video on my channel … my brush is practically a sixth finger.
I 100% agree. This tool takes a bit of getting used to but what a huge time saver.
to see them try to use it for the first time go to 12:20, to get the actual review portion, go to 22:30
thank you for this... very helpful. Grateful for someone to review to save time and money, but i have no time to watch for 30 mins to see if it works or not, have to go to home depot and buy! :)
Best comment..Thanks

Thank you too much talk geeze
You guys made my day watching you try to review this edger. I'm a professional painter and I absolutely love this thing and it saves me time and makes me money. The only thing this is good for is interior window, door and floor trim. It works great on medium to low textured walls which is most common anyway. It is easy to clean just as long as you don't let it dry up which is common sense. My rollers and brushes in the pack has lasted almost a year but I've had to purchase the roller unit itself a second time and that's because the cheaply built little plastic wheels on the lower bottom. And the reason for the break is I was running them on a heavy textured wall, so don't do that! Also It doesn't work for ceilings unless the ceiling is completely flat texture which is pretty uncommon anyway. So Here's how To use it. First when you get it wash/scrub rollers in water this will help remove any fuzziness just as you would with any roller which painters typically use tape anyway. Second, once you lock in the roller and insert the brush, have the guard shield all the way open and roll it into the paint USING a regular size pan. Then Roll it up pretty heavy but not to heavy where the paint is sliding off the roller. Third part is a little tricky at first but stick with it and that is once you have it loaded, close the shield and make sure the little lever handle thingy is right next to were you place your thumb and press/hold both. What that lever controls is how close the cutter brush extends out and you want it extended out the furthest so it stays closest to the wall surface for great tight cut lines. O.k. Next is you want to roll a little away from the trim then bring it to the trim because it helps to control the paint better, if that makes sense. Then roll back and forth to cover your surface but once everything is covered roll it backwards, twords the little plastic cheaply made wheels, this will make the roller cover up any wheel marks and also you don't have to push hard for this to happen either. And that's that! The thing to remember is always wipe off any paint that gets on the outside of the paint guard that's because you want that clean that's what will be riding on your trim as you use it. Like with anything in life you just have to be patient and stick with it and it will get easier and that applies to using this contraption. It will save you time and money and for some make you money!
Yes, much agreed! Thank you for watching & supporting the Paint Life Community!
I am professional painter AND I learned to properly use the accubrush for speed in new houses. It doesn't mean I set the brush aside, but Ibtake advantage of new tools. You just have to learn to use them and with practice you get to love them.
Cool!
sounds like an accubrush rep
Great review, but they did not use the brush accurately. I don't own one and don't need one at present but this review need to have the brush follow the wheels.
I guarantee I can cut in faster with a brush than anyone can with that thing.
@@allenmorgan4309 I guarantee that free hand is always a failure option...
Bought one and it saves hours trimming out rooms. I paint for a living and was hesitant to buy it but it does work awesome. Gotta practice fellas ! You have to end with a backward stroke and it won't leave wheel track marks.
FIBER MAN do a vid but proper one this vid was negative from the start but to me the lines were very neat and quicker than cutting inn
Thanks for sharing man!
Yea these guys are just pissed they couldn't bank on it
For what it's worth, the packaging actually shows leading with the roller with the wheels following behind.
I havent even used one yet and was thinking if u didnt want wheel marks end with the roller covering them
I've been using this product for 2 years now and I can tell you that it's a great product... trim time in half but you got adjust your brush and it's not difficult at all...great product
Their negativity just turned me away, unsubscribing :(
Would you recommend using this during a job?
Elizabeth Wilson ok Karen
@Kaleb Smith , painting isn't a profession when anybody can do it.
Who else got an accu-brush ad when they opened this video?
timdgsr I did!
I already blocked it. 😁
lol, that's funny
still playing the comerial
8 months later from this post...i got the add lol
I love this guy. After watching all his videos I bought a paint sprayer, 510 nozzle, and a pressure washer. Told my wife no problem I know how to do it from watching youtube.
Hows it been so far?
How the hell did this take half an hour?
@Vivian Rose easy to talk shit off of someones channel based on one vid, all of his other vids are quick and str8 to the point
I don't claim to be a professional painter but this video helped me made my decision, I've painted many houses with straight lines, no drips or marks.
I love my Accubrush! The wheels go in front of the roller! You should see my ceiling which I panted with an extension stick...Perfection! Best painting tool I have ever purchased!
Firstly, long winded intro. Secondly, you started off negatively about the product. You didnt sound objective. Finally, the "actual" demonstration was appreciated. Thank you
Agreed.... they straight up started off from the get go hating
@@troysweeting292 agreed this was bias. I've never used this but really hard to trust the commentary.
I'm sure if they said it was a great product they'd be out of work
I've used this product for many rooms in my home. I agree with what was said. "I've seen worse lines". The issue, you can't paint the last 4-6 inches (however long the device is) of the ceiling . It needs to be able to paint left and right.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it Greg!
I'm subcontractor painter over 25 yrs and just had use it today at Regeneron and it's work perfectly about the line it's just simple adjust at the small brush
did not work for me
I'm not a pro, but I am absolutely happy with the results!
Thanks for the review, I was thinking about buying this system but not anymore. Saved me $40 bucks.
We are professional Painters...we use this nearly daily. We clean the rollers and the mini brushes, not that hard to do. Thanks for your opinion - I rate the Accubrush 8 of 10.
A pro wouldn't even consider using this !
@@dh737 only because ego. no pro cuts perfectly straight lines.
I do ! All the time. No excuses
@@dh737 impossible. You can approximate a straight line but until you grow a ruler out of your arm , youre not painting truly straight lines.
🤣 glad you're not on the team.
You guys made it look harder to use than it actually is. For a non pro like me, this thing is a win win !
It sucks
This is a great example of why it's important to follow the instructions that come with the tool -- every issue y'all had was user error. You could have at least watched their instructional video first if you didn't want to read it. I'd expect with a 30 minute video you would have at least learned how to use it to give the viewers an accurate review.
I couldn't agree more! This review was a waste of time because the product wasn't used correctly, and unfortunately only further convinces those who expect it not to work well to believe their assumptions were correct. Most of us don't need something that will last forever, and we're not concerned with what happens to this piece being thrown around "in your truck for a month". All we want is to complete our painting project with results we're happy with, without having to pay you guys thousands upon thousands of dollars. You said it yourself... you're not nearly as concerned about getting paint on "other things", as you are about getting the job done quickly. I paid $3000.00, 10 years ago, to have 3 (17 foot) rooms painted. I admit, It looks good, until you get up real close. This tool may not work for professional painters (for various reasons), but I'm happy to let it help me hold onto a bit more of my money.
Yep they are pretty arrogant today. What a waste of time watching this.
I'm a remodeler and a while back bought one of these plus the VERY expensive Accubrush XT model (handle pivots for better handling or to add an extension pole) They actually do work pretty well for doing much quicker cut-ins on door and window casings, as well as base boards - IF they have enough lip to "ride" on. Will work on wall ceiling corners pretty well, but ONLY if the ceiling doesn't have much of any texture on it (but forget about using the floppy jointed handle that come with the XT - they don't even use it in the commercial videos!).
A few points & observations (and a couple of things the you guys didn't figure out yet. LOL):
> After you roll out the cut-in, finish with a BACK roll (roller will cover brush marks and the inside wheel tracks)
> Then OPEN the SHIELD and use the tool as a normal roller (keeping wheels off of wall) to roll out the outside paint edge (and any wheel marks, which actually should not be there).
> Yes, they are worthless in corners and around window sill lips.
> And yes, the plastic is quite flimsily, especially at those parts you suspected (roller release latch broke, and the whole roller arm actually broke off with one drop from a 6' ladder. The handle release latch on the XT also broke off. Although, to Accubrush's credit, when I send them pictured of my fractured tool remnants, they actually sent me replacements!)
So, do they save time with cut-in? Yep, they absolutely do! Do they last very long in any kind of professional setting? Probably not. Are they worth (as in cost-savings justify) the high cost of paying for all of their advertisement? Jury is still out, but because of the vulnerable plastic parts, I probably would not spend the kind of $$ they're asking for them. @ $19.95, maybe.
Thanks for sharing Jeff!
Great review. I felt your review was better than the video. They did a good review, but not understanding how the track marks were being left was not good problem solving. I think they should have watched some other reviews before doing theirs. I love the channel though.
How do you cut in the corners. I bought the devise and love it, being I’m not a professional. I can’t figure out how to do the corners. Any advise would be appreciated. I lost the little dvd. Thanks.
My husband has painted professionally and can cut in beautiful lines, but he works a lot, so for painting at home, as a mother of four whose cut in lines are not nearly as nice, I see the value of this product in saving time for the average homeowner with little painting skill.. which is I'm sure who it is targeted towards. I did see an add for it before several of your videos though.. Thanks for taking the time to do the review though and for all the other helpful tips I've learned from watching. :)
Thanks for the input Cindy!
I have learned a lot from you guys over the years but if you watch the AccuBrush video, the way to get rid of the wheel marks would be lead with the wheels and let the roller trail.
Don’t feel bad guys. It’s a piece a crap and you saved a lot of people money and time by doing an HONEST review. This video was very funny to me because I remember trying this product a couple years ago and had expressed all of the same issues. Wheel marks everywhere ! Nothin beats a good quality brush. Hope to see the spray guide video soon !
Thanks for watching!
15:00 i nthe step by step video, it mentions that you're supposed to end with a downward stroke to rid the wheel mark and 15:50 they suggest you do 2-3 feet at a time. your also supposed to start away from the trimming or whatever and then come in
so I saw this ad last night and ran straight to Menards to find a device to assist me in becoming faster cutting an edge as a simple do it myself painter with two big rooms under my belt thank you for reviewing this item but I learn for myself to just take my time and learn to do it the right way
Thanks! I’m 57 and very sick so I was thinking about painting without using a ladder. I’m going to hire a professional
painter. I should NOT be painting myself. I no longer have the strength or coordination. I used to be very good at painting. I’m very poor but I’ll invest in a professional paint job.
I was very impressed the way the machine work and will be purchasing one soon. It appears to me that from the beginning of the video and throughout the video these individuals were looking for flaws that they could find to denounce the product. Painters like these guys will probably charge you a fortune to do the same thing this equipment just did. Sorry Idaho but, I'm purchasing this item with good faith to believe that it will accomplish my goals.
Paint in one direction and the wheels will not go on the fresh paint. The line from the wheels shows because you are going back and forth on the same area.
You have to though. To pick of both sides of the texture
Positive findings: we love the color of the tool!
Negative findings: it's performance.
My favorite review ever!
Lol! It is ALL about the $90 tray! It puts the magic in the roller! Love all your videos, they are so informative. Besides...Chris you look like an IDENTICAL twin to my dad; a retired firefighter who passed away, so it always reminds me of him. Thank you for all the helpful info you share!
Thanks for the support Cheryl!
The key to stop the wheel marks is to finish in the reverse stroke. I have some of these. also you can use your roller brush by popping put the red ends, and install them on your own same size roller.
Great vid. I kept seeing the ad aswell and everytime I'd see it I thought i wonder what the Idaho man thinks about this thing. So very interesting video I'm a big fan you have great content sir. I'm sticking to my brushes.
Thanks for watching & supporting Garrett!
I hope Lisa doesn't watch this video, that light blue paint doesn't match the green couch! 😏
Great review guys! I've been getting this ad every since I started watching your channel. I felt it was something you promoted. I was interested in getting one. After seeing this you saved me a headache and money. Thanks for your quality work and outstanding videos...
Thanks for watching Tom!
When did John Cena start painting? hahaha
I was looking for this comment 🤣
@Vivian Rose , smells like hater probably you husband is a fucking looser painter hahaha!
Haha you got me good with this lol
All I see is a floating roller brush.
I can’t believe paint life is bagging this product good on ya boys
when i first saw the ad for it, i thought: “hey.. that could actually be quite useful”. but i seen as you were using it, it does leave that little line at the edge of everything you cut in. so i think i’ll just stick with my brush for now thanks. great video!
Garbage
I got a kick out of this video, the impressions on ya'lls face is priceless! 2 Professional painters looking at an amateur product confused and annoyed but trying to give it the best shot possible! Like most amateur painters trying to use a professional sprayer. lol Good video guys!
Ha ha watched this video and in the middle of the video it played an accu brush commercial. Just painted my 3600 square foot house tried all kinds of devices to cut in. What I learned, get a good brush a ladder and a 4" roller and do it by hand. Looks way better and overall is faster and cheaper. Loved your cut in videos too!
Thanks for watching David!
I think that could be perfect for the first coat then use a brush on the second coat !
Agree with you.
@@joserobertz5 god bless
Hi
Some guy sad and its good idea to finish the rolling backwards so the roller rolling out the wheel lines
I think about to buy it for me can be used for second cut so don't need to be perfect in corner as I cut with brush the lines in first with brush. So second cut with this especially in full house painting job can be real time saver
Thanks for your review guys 👍🏻
Yeah, yanno, in fairness, re-watching their ad, they DON'T push the roller AT ALL. Every example of their usage of it suggests drawing the device AWAY from the paint laid, occasionally with a gentle push if gapping occurs. This (theoretically) obviates the wheel marks/ paint in the wheel concerns. It should also (again, theoretically) extend the life of the paint brushes too. Your "impartial test" here is the equivalent of saying "This utility knife is terrible. Pulling the blade towards me seems to work okay, but PUSHing the blade just jams the point into the surface!"
Pertaining to build quality, your observations are no doubt accurate, and the nap on the roller is indeed accurate, I'm sure, though the control of the rest of the "test" throws the rest of you plainly-biased (since, in the end, this would be more of a threat than a boon to professional painters) review into question. Indeed, I've no doubt that a cheaply-made As Seen On TV doodad would NOT be apropos for a professional. I'm sure it WOULDN'T stand up to a month of daily usage. NOR. IS. IT. INTENDED. TO.
Try using a residential sprayer every day for a month. But a Wagner works just fine for a small job. I wouldn't try to use a 5 Gal shop vac as a commercial dust collection system, either. This seems to me, in the end, a 30-minute (!!?!) example of video masturbation. You folk just REEEAAAALLLLY like hearing yourselves talk.
Jason Jurusz - LoL! Well stated.
Tip for you chris: wrapping masking tape around the roller sleeve will remove lint from roller,I do that even on good quality rollers,Henry in ct
You as supposed to pull the roller, then push it then pull it to roll over the brush and roller marks.
Thanks for the tip!
So glad I DIDN'T order the acubrush. Thank you for the honest review.
Your welcome🤙
Here is a tip for edger tools. I have mastered the Shur-line edger. When I cut in a ceiling I take the edger, load it up with a paint brush and start cutting in. The brush technique allows you to avoid getting paint on the wheels on the front. You can also control the amount of paint on the edger so you don't have runs or voids. If the edger doesn't get close enough to the ceiling, apply more pressure and it tucks right up in the edge.
At the corners, I just run a brush up to it, and it's only about a half inch away from the corner. Try it a few times and you'll get the hang of it. I never leave home without it. 👍
robert mills RUBBISHHHHHHHH
colin marshall What? Why?
Moon Pie Yup, the edger does have it's uses. I like using it on the ceiling specifically so I don't have to mash my head against the ceiling to watch my line.
Good tip, thanks for sharing Robert!
I'm sorry mate it sounds like a lot of effort and time wasted on loading the edger up to cut in . I would say to anyone who can't cut in to use low tac tape for your ceiling lines and you will get a nice crisp clean cut in line. Those things are a waste of time and money ive been painting for 28 years and im willing to try anything that will make the job easier , there's always something new learn ive tried one and there is no way I would recommend anyone to waste there money to buy one. I'm sorry it's a poor cheap tacky product that will never give you a professional finish.
Why didn't you guys do this 4 years ago before I bought mine. I totally agree with your findings. If anyone isn't convinced and would like to get one of these cheap, I cleaned mine up and still have it with 4 unused rollers and the unused little brushes. Sorry I can't offer a warranty though.
Thanks for watching Sam!
All the advert they do on your channel, i am suprised they didnt give you one.
Have not finished video yet.. but in my experiance, these only work on low texture walls.
With some adjustements and new set of skills this could work. Soo after you edge, pull up back slightly and roll again without wheels touching wall. Also, to much paint especially on edge or not periodically cleaning will start to put paint where not needed. It will start to bridge. I doubt you could do two walls without needing to clean it.
Thank you for finally doimg this vid.
Thanks for watching!
Hahahaha at just smashing one in the beginning after that assessment
TurboFlush
Good video, I tried it when they first came out. A steady hand and practice makes better work. "If it ain't broke dont fix it".
Pour résumer. Pensez-vous que c’est un outil idéal pour faire les découpages ??
Thanks for watching Aaron!
Good enough for me I’m sold
I actually used a gimmicky cut in tool you can get at any big box store. It uses a rectangular pad to hold the paint and wheels that roll against the ceiling or trim. If you make sure to not get paint on the wheels and load the paint on the pad carefully it works decently. Also, they're like less than $5. Can't really use it on baseboard with a routered, thin edge as the wheel won't contact the baseboard well.
The Accubrush ad was leading into your video (
lol
I bought this years ago. Most times I work alone. Thought it would help me go faster as they claimed. I used it for 6 ft and put back in the bag. Haven't touched it since. NOTHING is faster than good ole brush and roller.
The wheel marks drove me crazy, the noise was annoying and I kind of felt embarrassed in front of the customer. Didnt feel like a professional at all. I just told her I was giving a review. She laughed cause I told her it sucked. If your not confident or experienced with a brush and Want straight lines, tape, caulk the tape, cut in, pull when drying. Perfect line everytime. And use good quality brushes and rollers. Follow Idaho painters vids to learn how to paint like a pro. He is the best on TH-cam hands down. Love every video he has ever posted. Learn something every time I watch one.
Don't waste 1 cent on AccuBrush!
Yes, much agreed
I like this thing after the review i feel like buying one now thanks guys
Hope it works well for you! Let us know how you like it
As a home owner (DIY guy) this thing is very appealing. Cutting in is the worst part of a paint project. I’ve watched pros with brushes who were less than impressive. Most load up the brush heavy for one single pass on the cut in and don’t try for a second coat. This seems to do a decent job and could get that second coat. How thick the caulk line is seems to be the tools Achilles heel.
Great video. Like someone else said if you need to cut corner you are not a professional. defiantly home owner quality.
Thanks Chris!
Chris DiMase so true. It actually takes the professional out of you using it or any short cut devices. I believe if you can't cut straight lines, you shouldn't call yourself a pro painter.
Henry Mason anyone can learn to spray. I believe spraying is good for certain parts of the job. I like spraying on exterior, garages, texture ceilings rough walls, ceilings, doors, trim and cabinets. It looks like shit to me on walls unless in commercial. Or new construction which is ok. Residential occupied homes, there is too much prep work with masking off. The time it takes you to cover and protect everything, think brush and roller is faster and to me looks best. That's my opinion. Just saying.
I never said new technology or new products cant help make a job go quicker. I have tried products like this in the past and only had to do more work, when the edger bleeds onto the fresh painted ceiling, or molding. The product itself appeared to be flimsy according to the video, and I don't think it would stand up to everyday use. As for common core its totally irrelevant.
You’re criticizing even before using. Why didn’t you try it our before wasting our time with your side comments.
End your stroke on a back stroke to cover the wheel marks. Use your 5 in one painters tool to pop the end caps off for cleaning. They aren’t glued in or anything, simply press fit.
Or just don’t use this piece of junk
@@Idahopainter Ideally, yes. If I had your tools and your years of experience I absolutely wouldn’t bother.
I've got one and they work great....
Really, glad you like it!
Thanks for taking one for the team again.
lol, thanks for watching Moses!
Bahahaha the add came on before and during the video 😂😂😂😂
Thx for the awesome real life scenarios review. I bought a very similar edger years ago from Home Cheapo, used it once and chucked it in the trash. These tools just don’t work as promised. Wheel marks, paint gets inside the roller and drips on the trim - a total waste of time and money for crappy results. Accu Trim commercials are super annoying also. Hopefully, you saved folks a lot of time, money and aggravation. Cheers!
After watching this video I’m not reaffirmed in my loyalty to Purdy. Sherwin Williams owns them and makes everything locally. Paint, Brushes, and Rollers. American craftsmanship never lets you down.
Oh, yes
Wainwrightization I can only assume you have never owned a FORD? LMAO! FORD=FailOnRaceDay
FORD=FoundOnRoadDed
purdy brushes are super.
Except most Purdy products are made in China lol
I was really hoping I could find a review by YOU on this Accubrush.... I also have been seeing all of the TH-cam ads and my first thought was, "I wonder what Chris would think of this, I hope he's done a review on it." LOL... Thanks for putting this out here and for being someone we can look to for all these tips. I'm getting ready to paint the inside of my whole house here in Utah and have watched almost all of your videos for tips and stuff. I am going to try and get a less expensive sprayer (maybe the Graco Magnum X5). I think what I'm dreading most is all of the prep work! lol. Thanks again guys!
Thanks for sharing and watching🤙
I wonder what your wife would say if she sees the walls painted like that. Probably be like john fix that right now
lol, that is exactly how it went
Thanks for your honest opinion. I read a majority of the reviews below. There are some good points regarding getting rid of wheel marks, and cleaning etc. I feel a lot has to do with your System.
I personally agree with John and Chris. Quality of product, attention to detail, efficiency of your job site/system, Level of quality required for scope of work. What a Professional Painter who is competent with a brush can accomplish in quality( a $25 Brush will can last you 6 months to a yr), speed( no need to switch tools to maneuver around detailed substrates ), efficiency( how many linear feet I can paint, cleaning the tools( wheels-while I'm painting)and going back over my line. I can see this being useful in a commercial or Industrial setting maybe sub division or a quick repaint for Re sale of a Residential Home. I do a lot of High end Residential and my clients would not be satisfied with a 1/16th" gap between my Ceiling/Walls or Walls/Trim. There is an old saying: " Do it once, Do it right". If a new tool requires me to go back over the application to straighten the line with what I would already use... a brush, why would I need the tool?
Glad to help
Awesome, your review was interrupted for a... wait for it... accubrush ad..
lol, no way
@@Idahopainter yes way
Great video guys, I got put off as soon as you opened it, it just looks so cheap and the noise as you roll is a put off straight away, also by the time you have loaded and rolled from one end to the other and also the corners you cannot reach, you could have cut in with a synthetic brush, more negatives than positives for me, thanks guys 🙏🏻
OK
You’re using it incorrectly. It’s not supposed to be used in a back and forth motion. It’s supposed to be used in one direction only . For the avg DIY it would be a better option than using tape .
Whoops, just following its' directions
Their video ads show using it up and down so...
Watch their commercial - the brush always follows the wheels. You guys have more candor than your showing with this product.
Hi Guys, I've been painting walls etc for 60 years. Got this 'cause I'm old. I sucks up against a popcorn ceilings, plus the issues you two found. It did work well around door frames and molding, but you had to watch those track makes from the wheels.
Be well up there in Idaho, i'm in Florida.
Thanks Lynda!
Watching you guys review the accubrush was pure entertainment. Lol. I’ve been skeptical of the accubrush for a long time and I’m glad I’m not alone. But you’re right there are 5-10% of homeowners who would use this and feel super cool and James Bondish and would tell all their friends that professional painters will all be out of business in a couple years because of it. Ha ha ha My main concern from the very beginning without ever having actually used it was the fact that so many jobs where we paint you have to fix sloppy paint jobs from painters before like paint smudges on trim and paint smudges on ceilings and the accubrush just doesn’t really help in those scenarios. I don’t really see it saving time for a pro painter because pro painters are expected to fix all those paint errors from previous DIYers or even other sloppy “pro” painters. also the line the wheel makes would freak out most homeowners in my opinion...oh my god you’re scratching my wall! No thanks....ha ha.
Exactly...I prefer my angle brush and my own quick & steady hand..
I use a shur ling pad on new construction ceilings.....cut the pad on the top off with a blade...1/8" inch...put a light extension pole on the tool...and load it with a small pop bottle I keep in my shirt pocket...when u cut the ceiling in after off a ladder your brush effort is achieved in one trip
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
You pull it. The wheels go in front of the roller guys come on
Yea, I don't think that the wheels should ever touch the paint....just makes sense
The problem with that is you need to sometimes work in the paint which doesn't happen on a first roll unless you get the perfect amount which is hard to do
That wont work then the brush wont correctly pick the paint the rolling is applying
This week was my first time painting a room. I wish I would have bought this. I think it would have at least helped establish the line. I have a new respect for painters after my shit show. Nice review guys!
Well that's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Too goofy to be taken seriously.
Great review. I think this thing is for people who can't afford professional painters like yourselves, and to the naked eye, no one would be able to tell. My husband and I are in the process of painting our new home, and I think we'll try this because the taping is a headache lol.
Thanks
They make these little rectangular pads that have hairs, and they work a little bit -- I cannot remember the the brand name -- but they seem to show some potential, yet the "pad device" doesn't work very well. I don't think it is the pad, but the "device." It too has wheels, but they smear paint onto the ceiling. Also, corners are a problem for those pads. I DID SEE they invented some new shaped pads, not rectangular, and a holder that does not have wheels. They show it being used and it seems to work!!!! I have seen these advertised on TH-cam. I WISH YOU GUYS WOULD TRY THOSE PADS. I am a general contractor, and I would like very much for YOU GUYS to "review" those pads, let me know how they work. And I can tell you all of your audience is just as excited as I am to see how those pads work, because if I (we) can find any way to make cutting easier, I (we) would be very happy. TRY THOSE PADS!!!
Interesting, we'll have to check them out!
Nice job... Anything you reccomend instead of this??
did you try NOT rolling it on the wheels? Maybe hover it a little so it doesn't drag on the wall. I'm curious if that would work or not...so it doesn'
t leave the wheel marks
Interesting, maybe that would work!
When I see these things I often wonder if it's just me being unable to work the shortcut tools properly or if they just truly don't work. I've tried a couple things in the past (wishful thinking I suppose) and they all hit the trash within minutes. 😂 Thanks so much for an honest review!!
Yes, their are no easy shortcuts for experience
hey you said you were gonna tell me how to block ads if I watched the full 1/2 hour presentation of a 3-minute review.......I was duped
18:05 for those that skipped and did not actually watch.
It sounds like you are trying too hard to dispel the brush because you are professional painters and want people to hire you instead. The Accubrush works well, especially if you use it appropriately. You are supposed to brush on a 45 degree angle and smooth the wheel mark off with the brush. You actually convinced me to purchase the tool because you tried so hard to convince me not to get it... I LOVED the Accubrush.
youre just scared of this product 😂
Shane Nowacki Im also a painter.. for 12 years . I don’t think this a fair for a lot of reason the ceiling is not a normal ceiling
It’s all about marketing a gimmick to the DIY crowd that doesn’t have a clue. 40 + years experience as a professional painter and love your channel
What? No ladder drop? That was the only reason I hung with you guys on this one.
lol, whoops, should've included it
I don't understand why anyone didn't like the way you cleaned your rollers. I thought it was the best way to clean them. I really like finding out what the 5 way scraper was for never knew the 1/2 moon cut out was for cleaning rollers.
Looks good from my house! I’ll take 10 😃
Good job guys, but i already had the brush BEFORE watching this. It works good enough. Im not a pro painter. So after i finish this house i can throw the whole thing away. If definitely saved some time. Now let me see your video that makes cutting, cheaper, quicker, without the noise
Hilarious. Way to go guys.
Thanks for watching!
A one star review!? Cmon guys!! I understand though...when somethings threatening your job at any level your gonna find any reason to not like it. I do like your videos though, keep up the good work
Just an honest review!
Is Your house full of half painted rooms?? Lol😄
Who else had an acubrush add pop up on this video.
lol, maybe I have a few rooms like that
They knew better then to supply one to professional painters... It would get torn to pieces... The ads were targeted at the dyi that was trying to cut corners!!! Good job John and Chris I was hoping you would review this after so many adverts on your channel!
lol, yes we had to try it, we had seen to many of their ads on our videos
If you pull in one direction you should avoid the wheel marks.
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks guys you saved me $39 bucks! I do not accept the left over lines.
Over 30 minutes.
Really?
Really
Did you watch all 30 minutes?
Im first time home buyer. Very rookie in home painting. I really enjoy your videos.
Glad you like them, thanks for watching!
The best thing I would like about it would be the great feeling I would get from throwing it in the garbage!!!!
lol
Thanks guys. I think you just saved me time and money!
We did
If you need short cuts get out of the business. Period
I think this product is more for DIYers.
lol, yes not for professionals
maybe its time for you to retire lol
What? All successful contractors use “shortcuts” my guys nail plywood sheathing with framing nailers. Shingles with coil roofing nailers. Those are tools that are “shortcuts”
I bet that's what the guys who where using brushes said when rollers were invented. I also bet that's what guys who were using rollers said when people started spraying. And even if this isn't the next big thing whatever the next big thing is people poo poo at until it's the norm.
Sure glad I saw your video, you just saved me $ 40.00. Will watch your other videos for tips. Sure enjoy you 2 guys.
Talk to much...
Whoops, sorry
🤣🤣
Fuk yes they do...
can't even spell "too" Mr LogicTech LOL
I truly thank you for your guys HONEST REVIEW. ty
More like a bash video not a review lol
Oh, just an honest review
It’s a garbage product
In the Uk, a lot of our rollers have the plastic endcaps, we just prize them off with a screwdriver wash the roller and replace, I also think that if the rollers are a standard diameter then you could buy any sleeve and cut them down to fit, I personally would not use one but I think if they had a better quality frame then it could have a place in the industrial market where no one is checking the quaility of your line work and there were long runs of straight lines, but basically it is a diy product for the homeowner who only paints every ten years and cannot cut it, will then throw it in the back of the cupboard never to be used again, but I like the concept and I think it could be made usable.
