I've lost count as to how many times I have come back to this, his voice is mesmerizing. A ballad is where his voice shines and he plays with your emotions
This, this is too much.... The sound is enhanced by amplifiers and technology. There is no passion in it. Empty. Cold computer. AL only does it for money. a clown. illusion destructive, tasteless AL cannot play an instrument or write music uncultivated jerk.
@@flora3177 Flora, you are toxic and poisonous and are now trolling Adam’s own videos. It’s evident that you are obsessed with Adam. Amplifiers have Nothing to do with hearing and realizing the beauty, quality, and powerful passion of Adam’s voice and performance. Adam loves music, it is his life. Singing is his life. He puts his heart in his song interpretations. And he writes and co-writes his Own songs and music. You are obviously extremely jealous of Adam and his phenomenal talent. Get a life Flora. Have you nothing better to do than stalk this amazing, incredible man?
Whoa...have loved this cover by Adam for a while now. I just decided to look into the meaning of the lyrics by Brandi Carlile and I am blown away. Adam's emotion in this performance is raw and goes straight to my heart. After reading Brandi's words on what the song means to her it's no wonder Adam's heart is on his sleeve on this one. I feel It's exactly what he has faced in his own life. Then I come across this: Said Carlile in an interview, “There are so many people feeling misrepresented [today] … So many people feeling unloved. Boys feeling marginalized and forced into these kind of awkward shapes of masculinity that they do or don’t belong in … so many men and boys are trans or disabled or shy. Little girls who got so excited for the last election, and are dealing with the fallout. The song is just for people that feel under-represented, unloved, or illegal.” “I thought about Christopher and his T-shirt. I thought about our sneering president and the way he laughed at people who were suffering. I thought about the little girls who wanted a female president. I thought of Aleppo, Jordan, Iraq, and all the beautiful children from the Story Campaign living their lives in refugee camps. I thought about mothers fleeing bombs and violence, carrying their babies on their backs." Now I understand where the lyric "after carrying your baby on your back across the desert" comes from. Adam's intense emotion and body language in this performance is mesmerizing to say the least. He feels his music, he makes you feel his music, I can feel his pain. Adam has often said that he wants people to "feel something" from his music...well he outdid himself on this one, at least for me. This is what I read on Brandi if interested: americansongwriter.com/meaning-the-joke-brandi-carlile-song-lyrics/
