To sum how strong neclord is: It took kahn hundred of years family's knowledge, sierra the true ancient, star dragon sword, and viktor's badmouthing to finally defeat him

Such an underwhelming battle with an amazing ost. Khan, Sierra, and Luc destroyed him with their runes. I think I actually beat him in two turns due to him being so weak.
LinkedHeart Yes. However, you should also consider the fact that not only Kahn used a spell from their family, but Sierra also sealed the power of the Moon rune being its true bearer. Plus the power of the star dragon sword. That being said, Neclord was definitely screwed.
Also also... You had to fight that golem to get to Tinto, and there's no Journeyman Crystal to save before facing Neclord. Basically if you get wiped, you had to make your way back to this point from the mines, should you choose to give up and re-strategize. From that perspective too, it would make sense for Neclord to be as weak as he is here.
The section first appearing at 2:13 shares a lot in common with the "enemy's turn" music from the last stage in the original Fire Emblem for Famicom: th-cam.com/video/9o9vMInA8_8/w-d-xo.html.
i can agree, he was such a great villian and seemed like there couldve been more back story with him and victor. for such a bad ass song in this fight it was way to easy.
Truth is if you take this battle in the way the developer intended this can be a tough fight but if you do some things out of order and grab some strong runes early this fight can be a cake walk.
I remember when I play S1, I used all the magics and heavy damage on Neclord with no damage until Viktor landed an attack with Star Dragon Sword. BTW, you dont need to land Star Dragon Sword on your first turn on S2. :)

ive play suikoden ike 10 time, but hes the only boos that made me dead multiple time, i usualy kill him in 2 turn but if he use his aoe lightning 3 times in a row you sure dead

I find this fight several times easier than Genso Suikoden 1's Neclord. Especially with Viktor extremely broken late game with my set up of Exertion (Embedded), Violence and Double Beat Runes on him.
A few reasons - Nanami is super quick, but sucks with runes in general. So with spark, atleast all my characters (including Viktor) can act before Neclord. With Riou as my healer, who is also very quick, it also helps to plan out the combat if NEclord acts last every round, as I then know exactly what to heal and how much I should heal before chosing my commands.
While the Tinto quest is a quite long one and offers a lot of stars, it's boring. You dont get to have an official thank you from Gustav, and the people of Tinto, Crom and Tigermouth were not shown or even mentioned how they recovered. Meh, atleast you get a Mother Earth crystal from Gustav. Two River is the best quest!

I remember Neclord being more difficult to beat in the first game, here is way too easy in my opinion.
Storywise, that's reasonable
Middle level party in first game, high level in second game (Plus, Rune Affinity hidden stats as an additional magic bonus)
Storywise, he's severely weakened by Kahn and Sierra
Viktor is my favourite character in S1 and S2, he has interesting storyline
