This week we kick off our time in Western Australia with an amazing stay at one of the most incredibly beautiful environments, Lake Argyle.
One of the largest fresh water lakes in the Southern Hemisphere, and over 20 times the size of Sydney Harbour, this definitely is a sight to behold.
Famous for its breathtaking views, epic landscape, stunning sunsets and most photographed pool in the world, the Lake Argyle Resort is one of Australia’s top bucket list destinations!
And the real highlight is cruising this spectacular inland sea for an exclusive experience that takes in the abundance of wildlife and the Lake’s hidden treasures.

We were at Lake Argyle in 2011, just after that Big Wet and when they were letting the water out through the dam wall it was vibrating so much they were very worried that the wall could fail, but the water level had to be lowered.
I'll just edit and add this: When that Big Wet was being drained from Lake Argyle, we were told that the amount of water being emptied into the Ord River EACH DAY was the equivalent of Perth's water consumption for ONE YEAR. No wonder the suggestion of a pipeline from Lake Argyle to Perth pops up on a regular basis.

Wow wow wow! That’s all we can say about this place. Thank you for sharing it with us. That sunrise 🥰. We can’t wait to go. Especially since I did a project on the Ord River scheme at school about 25 yrs ago and it’s always fascinated me.

Lake Argyle is a nice place to water ski 🎿 in Australia in WA People take their boats 🚤 out in Lake Argyle and it is freshwater lake with a dam. 🦫 the caravan park has a safe environment and the resort has accommodation.

Love your set up, I'm in the process of upgrading our hilux rogue for our adventure next year and was wondering what advice you would have in the upgrade department. What would be the weight of your can and how doese the hilux tow. Our caravan is a hilltop 3 tone . A bit nervous about towing that much weight. Cheers.😆
We were at Lake Argyle in 2017 and it was a highlight of our trip, loved the sunset cruise too.. btw how cold is the infinity pool 😂😂👍👍 Another great video guys, you are both naturals in front of the camera

Have they allowed drones there now . We were not allowed to fly there in July ?
Hi Mick, still no flying around the helipad or lawn area and obviously abide by CASA rules. We flew outside of park and also outside of flight path and flight times as well. Otherwise no issues at all cheers 👍
