I was an employee for over 12 years in Ivar’s marketing department and loved revisiting the stories, in lieu of the book Paul Dorpat was supposed to produce before some life-changing events. During an ownership purge of collectibles, I was able to keep a number of interesting items for Ivar Haglund’s past. Again, nicely done piece.

Well done except for one minor nit to pick. The current owner, Bob Donnegan, is a thoughtful civic activist in very much the way Ivar was. Your unnecessary dig regarding the "corporate" decision to end the fireworks show belittles the work Bob has done to make Seattle a better place. Perhaps it's because Bob, unlike Ivar, shuns self-promotion but if the removal of the viaduct and the development of the Seattle waterfront is of any value then Bob should get credit for his considerable, behind the scenes, role in making it happen.

It was torn down, this is as close to an address as I can find, 59th SW (on the slope south of Admiral Way)
