    I have the same one (under a different name) paid less than $250 for it and love it. Have had it for 2 years now and no trouble with it. I use it for brush cutting up to 2 inch.

    You’d need to have the balance set up just right considering how big and heavy that trimmer is. How did it feel weight wise? That’s a beast.

    Mine arrived today with no brand name on the unit and it had no instructions. I'm a little concerned that it might not be what I ordered. After I tried it out the saw blade teeth bent. I only cut some 1" diameter stems.

      It spins the other direction. Right to loosen. There is a hole at the base to put in a small rod or screwdriver to stop the head from spinning.

    Iv got the big coochy coocheer as well worked it like a beast and hard for year or two when moved to some totally forested land. I hat do you mix you fuel too. I forgot as its been awhile and I’m wondering what y’all are running for spark plugs. As you know it came with the two once those are gone then what ? Also mine ruined the first plug right away when it was new. The second has worked well for awhile

      It just so happens that the one that I bought to replace my Coocher, is the one that you are asking about. So far, I like it just fine, and it hasn't blown up on me. Time will tell.
      Maybe I just got bad Coocher, but I didn't like the idea that it didn't even have a part number for anything and you couldn't find hardly any info on it, although there must be 50 different brands out there that are the same machine. Coocher is the manufacturer's name for it. But dealers can put their own brand name on it.

    I say that blade is dull or it would not be smoking while cutting.

    • @Something2LookAt
      @Something2LookAt  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct. It is just shaped as a saw, but the teeth aren't sharpened. Just a stamped cut out saw blade.

    What size blade does this use, and what size arbor does it go on? Considering getting this, but I'd use a different blade.

    • @DmanProductions
      @DmanProductions ปีที่แล้ว

      I cant speak on this machine in particular but most trimmers and brushcutters have a 1 inch arbor. The blade size could be entirely up to you, especially if you took the guard off.

      Same problem here. I ordered mine and assembled it according to the instructions.
      Everything to the letter. I use 2 cycles, Tru Fuel, already mixed specifically for this type of equipment, yet STILL NO START
      I even swapped spark plugs. Changed out the one that came in the engine with a spare plug that comes with the package
      STILL NO START?!!
      Followed starting instructions to the letter. Choke, primer bulb the whole nine ... STILL NO START??!

  • @markgerber5605

    I ordered one through Amazon and on the third use it began smoking. It was working fine up until that point. Not exhaust smoke either. I shut it down about the same time it was going to quit on me. Could never start it again. Did a compression check on it and it was 50 psi. Am dealing with the seller now.

      I'm not surprised. This trimmer has a ridiculous amount of power. I never used the line trimmer head. I'm just using it as a brush cutter. But after using my Husqvarna 535, I learned that it's hard to get any line to stay on these stronger machines, or even break the whole head like you're saying. I ended up having to go with LoNoiz .130 commercial spiral twist line. It's the only line I've encountered that the 535 wouldn't break. Now the 535 has an extreme heavy duty head because of the force. I guess Coocheer didn't plan ahead. If I were going to put a line trimmer head on this 58cc Coocheer, I would put the Grass Gator extra heavy duty 12100 head on it and run the LoNoiz .130 line in it. That head will accommodate up to .155. I just put one of them in my Amazon basket to try it out myself on that machine because I had no idea it was breaking it's own head. But like I said, I do believe it. This trimmer is crazy strong! Link to that head here:
      www.amazon.com/Grass-Gator-12100-Rebel-Commercial/dp/B0010OKJ4C/
      I don't work for Grass Gator but I have used their products with good results and I use their .105 spiral line exclusively in my trimmers. I like that company.

      @@Something2LookAt These bigass high CC 2 stroke weedwackers definitely work best with a metal fixed line head running .130" or .155" trimmer line vs a plastic bump head for string trimming use. Stens 385-922 is a good example. I used the Tanaka version of that head for many years and one piece of good .130" line lasts quite a long while. Not as convenient as a bump head, but it won't break either.
