funny thing is rip and tear was denied as it was the first song he made for doom and they didnt like it . . . but then a few days before release they needed a song for the end fight and mick told them to use rip and tear, wich ironically is one of the most recognisable songs for doom XD

He could totally have done that, considering this is a drop tuned nine string, so that's easily in bass guitar territory. (Technically, bass plays at 1 ocatve lower, so that's typical E-A-D-G. If a standard nine string goes C-F-B-E-A-D-G-B-E, that's lower than bass tuning, meaning a drop tuned bass could have accomplished the guitar.)
