    I asked earlier if I could buy a motorbike...250 cc. Not sure. Would have to go in. They look like 75 cc to me...

      @@Guillermo-ym5yn The bikes are generally 125 - 250 and buying one fairly straight forward

    Dear Simon, You make wonderful video's about a wonderful country. However, your voice is very low in volume, so hard to follow. Is there a way to improve the sound i.e. with a clip on microphone maybe? Luckily the pictures are much more stable than the earlier video's. All the best from the Netherlands.

      Thanks. I tend to talk at a normal volume, not wanting to be shouting and drawing too much attention to myself. Thanks for the suggestion of a clip on mic, that would probably make a difference, looking for such a thing will have to wait until next time I am in Asuncion. As for the picture quality, I changed phones a few months ago and that has made a huge difference. Simon

      @@simonsparaguay Thanks for sharing, Simon. This video was slow and steady and nice! Make sure that your new lavalier 'click-on' mic fits a 'deadcat' that absorbs almost all wind noise that has a tendency to sneak into and harm an otherwise good audio recording.

    How safe is paraguay for a foreigner to live?Specially women.Is there a south asian community over there?I am south asian.

    • @simonsparaguay
      @simonsparaguay  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It's a pretty safe place to be. Obviously there are places that no one man or woman would want to be. For a woman alone in or near a country town would be best. I am not aware of South Asian communities, but there are going to be a few people from there

    A quiet, peaceful place, far from the growing madness in the US. What's there not to like? Could you do a video on the local real estate market? Are there any gated communities, or is it just individual houses and small apartment buildings? And do they have reliable internet there?

    • @simonsparaguay
      @simonsparaguay  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it is a nice peaceful, relaxed sort of place. There is a video on the channel of a house that is for sale on the one little gated community just outside town. Apart from that it is houses of various sizes that are to be found in the town and surrounding countryside

    Hi Simon, really enjoy your videos. I´ve been to Paraguay three times myself, even got my cedula last year. May I ask you what you do for a living down there or are you retired? Hope to be coming down for good within a year or so but will need some sort of an income to supplement my savings. Any ideas?

      Most of my work comes from leads from here and my blog. It can be difficult working out here, local pay rates are low, but if you have transferable skills like chef of mechanic you may be able to set up a business, but making a profit might be hard. Many people opt for online work instead

    Dear Simon,
    Just found your channel. My wife and I are retired and traveling for 4-5 years between Mexico and Argentina, in search of our favorite cool weather city. We don’t know much about Paraguay and were wondering if there are any cities you might recommend that have highs around 70 and lows around 45-50 ?
    Thank you so much !

      Hi, thanks for getting in touch. There are a number of nice country towns I could recommend, however for much of the year the temperature is well above 70. There are no mountains and where I am is about 200-300 m, which is about as high as places get, so still rather hot, just a little fresher

      @@Guillermo-ym5yn That's just the way it is, a quiet country town. Plenty of people around, but not the sort of place where crowds hang about in the town centre
