Yeah, I think so too. It is the best combination between the 635D and the 747. I like the later style, like the 747 but the analog meters from the 635D, however upside down VU meters this time. (oké, there was a 747 with analog VU meters, I know). And this has Bias control, what the 365D did not have. Maybe the best feature. I have one here and probably never will get rid of it.
I have this same model and it has the exact same erratic transport issue. It also happens when the foil at the end of the tape is reached. I thought mine was the only one with this issue.
