i think whats most impressive about augie's solo is how melodic it is. we were often told that your instrument should just be a vehicle/extension of your voice and thats what he does - sounds like hes singing through his saxophone!
Crazy how after maybe 20 or 30 times of watching these, I’m in tears. I’m not even an emotional person it’s just such a good performance. I can’t imagine what it’d be like to actually be there when they did this. Incredible

Yeah, I'd say it seems like the guy in the left is more technically proficient, but the guy on the right was more entertaining.
As a saxophonist I can tell you the guy on the right has a very unique sound, with this instrument that will get you very far.
