This match reminds me of the final of Tokyo Olympics between Malong and Fanzendong. FZD made so many mistakes with his backhand while he was attacking with backhand aggressively vs. Malong just half-block and half-drive with his backhand. Felix lost so many points in the same way in this match.
Ma Long at 17 years old like Felix would be SMASHED! But after it doesn't mean Felix will have a better career than Ma Long. If Felix just grab one big title such as OG or world championship, I would be fuckin happy!! Anyway, if we closer look at the younger generation, Felix is clearly the best with LSD. But doesn't mean another younger dudes can come out of nowhere and smash all of them.
Countless number of prodigies pops and fall into oblivion few years later, in many fields. At those levels, it's hard for me to completely distinct whose technique is stronger, a strong career imo is an indication of something greater than just acquiring polished skills at younger age.
