I remember both expecting Glenn to die but being in disbelief that he died at the same time, I remember before he died that there was so many times they built up a death scene for Glenn and then in the next episode he’s completely fine and it was just the writers messing with our feelings

I feel like after Glens death the show did go down hill...with how brutal it was(even if in the comics) the studio kept putting him in "is he dead here" moments...that when it finally happened something died in all of us 😭

Ironically, the scene that killed the show for a whole lot of the audience. Most people I know stopped watching entirely after this episode.
I was traumatized for a week. Zombie walking through work. I was fine with Abraham, thought it was over, then wham!
Exactly what happened to me. Glenn was my favorite and I just couldn’t continue.

There’s something about deaths that include bashing someone’s head in.. It reminded me of when a main-character from the show Skins was killed of in the same way, but you weren’t allowed to see as much. My heart POUNDED the same way watching both deaths.
Hello fellow Skins fan! That death you’re talking about fucking broke my heart and unnerved me so much. 10 years later and I remember exactly how I felt when that character died. Glenn’s death definitely brought up some of those memories

The walking dead had been my favorite show since it came out when I was 5 and it still is to this day and I'm 15 now, Glenn and carla death had me crying for literally hours and when rick "left" in the helicopter chase I knew he was gone had me crying

Glenn's death in TWD and Shireen's death in GoT are the 2 hardest for me to watch, because both of them were the most pure and innocent people on each show and they both died horribly.

Reminds me of when my dad and I went on vacation to Georgia to see Alexandria and other iconic locations from the show. Our room didn't have AMC even tho walking dead is filmed there which was weird. My dad and I found a bar to watch the episode which at the time was the episode revealing Glenn survived the dumpster situation. It was my dads first time watching walking dead so he was confused as hell lol. I remember the waiter whispering "he's alive" as the episode started. I had the best burger of my life at the bar. Truly an awesome experience.

What crushes me the most about Glenn's death is he probably felt like he deserved it. Having killed those Saviors at the outpost and those being the first people he ever killed after all that time, he probably felt deserving of what happened and very, very shitty about it. Heartbreaking way to go.

Although I love Negan as a character, I can never truly forgive him for this.
When this first came out I was 12, In hindsight I really shouldn't have been watching this at my age. Glenn was my favourite character and as a kid I loved him, I looked on him as a form of idol but when his head got bashed in unexpectedly I froze out of shock for 20 seconds and then began to cry for minutes on end. My family couldn't get me to stop crying. It was traumatic for me as I felt close to him. So even now when I rewatch the series I still cry and get nervous before the scene. I know it's such a specific trauma. Idk why I felt like sharing this.
It still shocks me and tears me up.
I didn't see it coming at all.

I mean, can we all agree that Negan was pretty reasonable with Rick's group? I mean, they killed like 15 of Negan's men, and Negan kills two to make sure they don't try to kill more of them again. He was just laying down some ground rules. Same as Rick did when he said, you kill, you die. It sucks that he killed Abraham and Glenn, but he had to make a point. Killing can't just go unpunished
Bruh they had to kill over 30-40 lol Rick and the group took down the guard post that had like 20+ people in it... Daryl blew up like 10 of them on the road earlier that season.. Carol killed 3 of them when her and Maggie were captured and then when back up came she set them all on fire lol then when she leaves before Negan shows up, she kills like 5 more lmao
They killed any people that just wanted to be left alone and not give over their stuff. Give me Rick's group every dsy over them. Yeah, some followed Negan out of fear but some slept with pictures of brains above their beds. They weren't stopping
They killed those people quickly, Negan gave Glenn and Abraham horrible deaths. Plus I highly doubt Negan cared about any of the people Rick’s group killed, Glenn and Abraham were family to Rick and the rest of the group. I don’t know how fair it is
