The problem with breakin is that most people don't understand breaking. I'm a former bgirl. Breaking is not only about power moves, but foundation, musicality, creativity, finesse, coming up with creative moves on the spot without repeating moves you formally did in prior runs.... It's a difficult thing to judge. She obviously won this battle by throwing down creativity.
Molly's moves are sharp & crisp as Raygun moves looks like a step-step tutorial. Ijs. Comparison between them both. Overall appreciate you having love for the art.

I didn't see the top footballers in the world competing in the Olympics at all. Same with the boxing and other events. But others, like track and field, gymnastics are the top competitors. So odd.

In the old days the Olympics was about having countries, even those at war, to forget all that and come together in peaceful competition. It was about respecting each other. A country even if they did badly, encourage growth in that sport. Some how we have lost our way and forgotten what the Olympics was about. Every Olympic event someone will come in last. People don't seem to understand breaking is Australia is a very small sport. 15 female b-girl entered the event. Have a look at the other events around Australia. The standard is low. There is not this hidden female breaker somewhere in Australia who is just amazing and would get gold or even a medal. It is the way it is because all the good female do other types of dance or gymnastics. Hardly any of them care about breaking.

How many times is she going to battle Holy Molly? I have seen at least 3 battles between the two which Raygun won them all. The fact is Holy Molly is a member of Raygun/husband's dance organization and was a hand picked opponent for Raygun. Many of Australia's best female breakers were excluded from the Olympic qualifying process which was ran by Raygun/husband's organization. Shame on Raygun/husband for manipulating the entire Olympic qualification process by keeping the real talented female Australian breakers away from the Olympic qualifying process! Raygun did all this in order to enhance her academic profile. But instead she made a mockery of the artform in front of a global audience while disrespecting the Hip-Hop culture. Her/husband have received over $300,000 in taxpayer money since she started breaking 10 years ago at age 26 to fund her research into breaking and founding their organization.
Now this is a theory I could believe. I see a lot of other accusations that are obviously a snowball of gossip. I can see how this one could happen, but it needs to be backed up.

And per Olympic standards, this isn't the first instance of competitors not being up to the level of other competitors. I recently heard the story of an African man who got drafted into a swim team for the olympics and the guy had never swam in an Olympic size pool before. He almost drowned. But instead of people mocking him like they are doing to Raygun, they applauded him. It's all how people choose to frame the scene. People aren't gonna mock a guy from almost drowning, but can mock someone for dancing "bad".

I don’t have much awareness of breakdancing but tbh I was shocked at how easy it looked in general. Clips that I’ve seen on tv or TH-cam look very athletic. Like what is done on a pommel horse, but on the floor. But the Olympic clips just looked like a lot of wobbling side to side dancing and then rolling around in the floor, to kill time.
My mother always said "if you cant say something nice about someone, dont say anything at all!" Show some class people. This is a human being. Dont judge who she IS by her "breaking" performance. You dont have to like it but show some respect for another human being who put herself out there. I dont imagine it could have been easy.

And to be fair, what I've seen of the other Aussie bgirls so far, I don't think any of them would have done that much better. The level at the Olympics was just too high.

No windmills no flares no Apple Jacks no worms no head spins and no 1990. Is this the new breakdancing styles these days. A lot of leg shuffling. My generation must be out of date expired or something. Just my opinion though if breakdancing evolved into that then idk what you call breakdancing back in the late 90’s and a little into the early 2000’s. I see 6 years old kids and kids in the teens be pulling moves way harder then those. Now those kids is what you call breakdancing just saying.
I don’t have much awareness of breakdancing but tbh I was shocked at how easy it looked in general. Clips that I’ve seen on tv or TH-cam look very athletic. Like what is done on a pommel horse, but on the floor. But the Olympic clips just looked like a lot of wobbling side to side dancing and then rolling around in the floor, to kill time.

My mother always said "if you cant say something nice about someone, dont say anything at all!" Show some class people. This is a human being. Dont judge who she IS by her "breaking" performance. You dont have to like it but show some respect for another human being who put herself out there. I dont imagine it could have been easy.
