In the waning days of the Korean War, fresh recruits are sent to the frontline, among them an idealistic young soldier and a battle-hardened psychotic who haunts the night, slitting enemy throats on solitary patrols. Their starkly contrasting philosophies of war and survival are brought into sharp relief when they encounter a local orphan boy, who forms an unexpected bond with the newcomer. As a Cease-Fire looms, threatening to redraw the lines of conflict, the trio must confront their own moral boundaries, leading to a tense and poignant resolution.
