How to make the Loren Jacket | Style Arc Sew-along

Today we are going to sew the Loren Jacket from Style Arc. Makers this pattern is rated medium, but we feel that if you are looking to improve on your sewing skills you should give this pattern a go. It is a three-quarter length unlined jacket with a shawl collar and two pocket options. You can do a patch pocket, or you can do an inseam pocket.
It’s perfect if you are looking to test out your hacking skills by creating a lining for it, or even putting in a welt pocket in lieu of the other options included. As with most Style Arc patterns it is up to you to finish the seam allowance. We recommend two different options, you can slipstitch the seam allowances and facing for a finished and understated look or you can have a little fun by binding the seam allowances with bias tape for a Hong Kong finish.

Hi Minerva, I am new to your site, and happy to follow along creating the Loren jacket. Question: My patch pocket pattern piece does not have the deep top fold that yours does. I guess I can fold it over deeper like yours, so I can turn it and trim the sides. Please advise! Thank--you, Rita

Two questions: is the boucle washable? are there Minerva instructions for constructing a lining for a pattern that doesn't have a lining pattern?
