Going Back Home to Detriot, What a beautiful album and Documentry you can see the pleasure and Passion in his face while singing these great motown song Glad to see him back performing again What a LEGEND This man is.
Love the intro... I hope they come back someday too! Thank you for allowing us in Phil. Loved the NY shows and eagerly anticipating the new album's arrival!! GREAT STUFF!!!
The Phil I know and love is from the no Jacket Required era. I still love him today, don't get me wrong. But everyone has a certain way we remember people best.
well i am watching this as a drummer myself and also watching my real bad arthritis destroying my joints ! i dont know if i can play either phil i know how you feel i dont have a set handy but picked up a guitar at my grand daughters house and found right there i could not do the chords because of the hands, i am scarred shitless as they say to say the least. nice vid thanks for saring , and i am only 63 .
Hi Den, Oh man your cramping up also! that sux hey, yes I'm hearing ya mate I'm 67 next month and struggling at times only playing for 1/2 hour on Sunday morns now every 2nd Sunday one of 3 drummers for a mega church group. 50 yrs of playing instruments coming to an end I think. Tenor Sax causes sever pain in my left ear, bass guitar locks up my fingers after 40 min and drums kills my low back (surgery when 25) But I soldier on. Hang in there buddy & God bless. (Phil C and Charlie Watts got me started on drums as a lad)
Dana he mentions is the news reporter he was dating that tried to help him stay clean. But he went back to that evil monster witch. Money Can't Buy You Love!
Does anyone know if the bonus disc on the new album will be only live recordings of the songs like "you really got a hold on me" or if they will be studio stuff?
"It's like a brain puzzle. It's like playing a video game but it's much more fun." , says Phil. I wonder how much more art would come into the world if people actually spent time trying to learn how to play an instrument and create music instead of wasting time on things like Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
george412 Surely more good music is always better. There are plenty of great musicians out there from the old guard to fledgling artists. Admittedly it is a chore wading through the masses of less musicly inclined art most folks dance to, but the wealth of just good musicianship that is there for one to find is refreshing. In short, keep your hopes up and keep an ear to the new. Be well
in the case of drums i think those games incorporate a mini drum pad drum set that actually serve as a tool to learn the real instrument, guitar is a different story though
FeelingShred I have to say. I'm a little surprised, by what you've said.Phil Collins comes from Hounslow in West London. He speaks English with the plainest accent it's possible to have.
"....but I can't decipher this heavy british accent... " You want to hear a voice that you will never figure out, check out Russ over at Pro Tools Expert. I can not understand him at ALL!

This is very interesting stuff? Is there a second part out there???
That's the great bass player Bob Babbitt at the start of the video. I believe he has since passed away.
Bob was a great player and friend. God bless him , he will always be missed.
wait for Part 2... ;-)

phill, por favor, ven pronto a tocar a argentinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Is he okay health wise? He looks very frail. Still a musical genius.
3:24 - is that a Smokey Robinson signed guitar?! WANT!!!
John Babbit, surely he is missed.
hurry up with part 2

Cubase 👍
Hi Phil, are you using Cakewalk or Cubase music sequencers in this video?
I love how Phil's autobiography is called Not Dead Yet and the Paul Williams doc is called Still Alive. Come on. Neither of you guys are that old!
Still Here by Ram Dass
go troll somewhere else, kid. Phil rules, you simply don't.
Phil Collins is GOD!
No, Eric Clapton is... Lol!

Be well
Sometimes things like Guitar Hero and Rock Band lead a person to pursue an instrument more seriously. Such was my case. A waste of time? Not for me.

@Tjoppy There must be some misunderstanding!
Phil sounds a bit down, hope he'll be okay !
Very. Nice
This was from 2010; he’s gotten a lot worse since then..
for a moment I thought he's using audacity x]
He looks so much better than he was - fitter and more perky. I think he must have been on a lot of pain-killers in the past.
Bev Saunders - Better than he was when? This is from 2010, just before his retirement & descent into alcoholism & health woes..
And this is the clip where we get to know that Phil Collins can operate computer mouse.
what happened to him to take him out of drumming?
@krystilmist you said it!
Tell ya the truth...that guy needs to stop smoking.
is dana his gf who his filming
n0 he use daw t0 l0l
You are "lo màximo"
@winterlandboy

I tried to watch but I can't decipher this heavy british accent... But nevermind, I'm a douche anyways... Bye guys

icetech6 well that, l can well understand. The old gordie (Newcastle upon Tyne) accent can be very difficult as well.
