    I can hear the difference in the digital rotary reproduction and the vintage Leslie’s. The digital reproductions are okay and will do in a pinch. Nothing like a Leslie. Nord has an awesome digital reproduction. The B/C-3 clone sounds great tho.

    Man your church got Hammonds and Leslies!!! If I were the musician for the visiting Sunday afternoon church, I would be sitting during the first half of the program in excitement and anticipation of playing! How are you getting the Viscount to work with Leslie? The DI Box? Can I do the same with my Nord C2D? Do you have an internet link for the DI box?

    • @SacredMediaOne

      Thanks again! On this video I'm using a 1122 leslie kit with a 122 leslie speaker. But, the Nord c2d has an 11 pin jack on it, so you can get a leslie 3300, which is also 11pin. But make sure if use choose to hookup an old leslie, make sure that the kit matches the leslie speaker. 1122kit/122 leslie, 1147kit/147 leslie speaker.

    hello bishop, I'm pastor corey brown from Louisville Alabama, when connecting the legend to a leslie, do you have to do anything on the organ controls to get the leslie effect?

    • @samuelbutts7802
      @samuelbutts7802 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Viscount Legend is an 11pin unit. Make sure that you have a matching 11pin leslie. If you are hookup a 6pin leslie to the Viscount, make sure that you use the correct kit. For a leslie 122, you will need a 1122 kit. Same for a 147 leslie, you'll need a 1147kit. The Leslie 3300 is an 11pin leslie.

    Hello Bishop. Thanks for this good demo. I have a Legend and a Hurricane 210, but now Viscount has a new true rotary horn speaker (the Vortex 315), that's 1/2 the weight of the Hurricane. But I cannot hear/demo one anywhere near me. Have you heard it? Does your brother carry it? And is it any better than the Hurricane? I think it's 1/2 the power of the 600w Hurricane. they also have a "Spin Tone 700" model that has a rotary horn. Have you heard that one? Tell me if you know anything or can compare. I cant get Viscount to answer my emails about it either. Thanks so much. ST

      I am a real Hammond lover. I've been playing Hammond organs for forty years. I get it! But the sound that we love so much comes from putting a Hammond organ with a Leslie speaker. If it had not been for Don Leslie creating his Leslie speaker, we wouldn't be having this history lesson now would we? LOL, Enjoy and thanks for the reminder. 🙂

      Great video! I have a 1973 Hammond TX-500 and a Leslie 770 with tube preamp at home. And a sweet little Nord C1 for live use. Two weeks ago I played with Malcolm Chambers😃. People don‘t hear any difference between modern clones and old gear. Only God and musicians apreciate those subtle differences but more than an original leslie sound he loves to hear our hearts and voices singing. Greetings from Germany🇩🇪🤝!

    • @gdj6298
      @gdj6298 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laurens Hammond hated the Leslie speaker and threatened distributors who sold Leslies with losing the Hammond franchise.
      This was probably a commercial rather than musical attitude. Hammond apparently did not have much of a musical ear, and could not tell the difference between early Hammond tremolo and later Hammond vibrato.
      But, respect for the organ, obvs !
