When Veda was born, Jericho and I thought we had our fairytale life. That this was the beginning of our happily ever after. We never expected that our entire world would turn upside down in a matter of years. And that one TikTok video would change our lives forever.
Sanfilippo Syndrome is like Alzheimer’s, but in children. It is a terminal, degenerative disease that causes children to lose all the skills they’ve gained, suffer seizures and movement disorders, experience pain and suffering, dementia, and then die usually in their teen years.
