    I have the Kraus Pro Wolf Setup. My dealer pulled all the wires into the fairing.

    I feel like it’d look better with the mid bend bars. The low bend bars get engulfed by the gauges. But I do understand it’s more comfortable for you with the low bend bars

    • @rsanchez5676
      @rsanchez5676 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s funny you hit the nail on the head about the gauges protruding because of the low bend. I couldn’t figure out what it was that was bugging me , but it was the gauges protruding. I’m glad I went with Arlen ness 520-042 black bars. The part number is stainless finish but they sent me black instead and I’m thinking black might be better

    i decided today to go with Kraus. they had a bike done at the dealership and it did not have that mess you have in the front area. i think it just takes some time and thought as they had one shiedled like cable that went into the fairing and no other loose wiring. the kraus is much more expensive i saw but the quality looked better.

    • @Marvelkid87
      @Marvelkid87  ปีที่แล้ว

      Has nothing to do with kraus or Arlenness. The is still wasn’t down properly. I just recently got it redone and posted a video on it. Cables are tucked and it’s clean.

    Love the set up and the bike! Did you use a kickback plate from Kraus or any other type?

  • @Desmo1
    @Desmo1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Keeping the nassel at the base does this setup a disservice. I can't believe your dealer thought this was a good idea, or near a finished product. I don't think the setup is intended to keep the nassel but if that's the case I believe Dirty Bird sells the part where the gauge holes are solid and not cutout to enclose all the wiring. You can cut holes for the risers in them.

    • @jerrydolan4955
      @jerrydolan4955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @desmo big bear performance makes a nassel to replace the factory. I opted out of it and just had them clean up all the wiring with heat shrink.

  • @willyafg
    @willyafg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Bro...the dealer did a terrible job on the installation. Check out john maxwell vid when he installed risers on a bagger. He cleaned up the entire wiring. That open area with the wiring should have been removed and wires should have been tucked away either into the bars or into the fairing. Slap that dealer and get a refund. That is a half assed job

  • @jerrydolan4955
    @jerrydolan4955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just had this exact same setup done to my 21 RG. I had them add the raptor plate from Kraus. I'm very surprised they didn't clean that wiring up with some heat shrink to protect it though. Anyways these bars do make it ride like a dream. 🤘💯

    Happy for ya brother.. For me, I would be put off by the possibility of them blocking the infotainment system and Map.

    • @3percentmick705
      @3percentmick705 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      More often than not, the phone gets mounted to the bars and used for music and gps anyways because the infotainment screens kinda suck for that.

    • @noonewillbeme
      @noonewillbeme 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3percentmick705 you stated in the video it does not obstruct your view at all though. Are you still able to manipulate the touch screen on the infotainment unit without much hassle?
      I just ordered this full kit for my bike, so gonna send it either way, just curious.

    I've been debating between this, and the Thrashin setup. The built in cluster saves some extra BS and gives it a lot cleaner look.
    Now that it's been a year, are you still liking them?

    Arlen Ness should have had a solution to the exposed wire problems. Not like them to half ass a mod.

    • @kevinthompson3776
      @kevinthompson3776 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree. Arlen Ness is known for having high quality stuff. Not sure why this was overlooked or maybe their solution was something MK didn’t want to do. 🤷‍♂️

    • @Desmo1
      @Desmo1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not the case, Kraus is a similar setup and looks great when wired properly. The key is to extend and wrap the wires so you can see a clean triple tree bracket. The dealer that did could've done a way better job.

    In your honest opinion, would the high bend bars from Thrashin also fit? Looks like the gauge cluster might interfere with the bend.

    • @Marvelkid87
      @Marvelkid87  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think it’ll interfere with anything. I might switch it to a midbend

    • @michaelotts6317

    So you can't run Thrashin bars with these risers, they aren't wide enough & won't allow full rotation of the bars & as far as the wiring talking about cutting it, holy smokes lol. Buy the wiring extensions, take your fairing off & headlight out, put the extensions on, pull them through & that's how you clean the wiring up. It's absolutely astonishing that this is a TH-cam influencer.
