Ryuichi Koga (Chiba) is a descendent of the Koga Ninja school, now earning his living through more nefarious means as a gun for hire. When he is enlisted to take down a drug cartel alongside Hayabusa (Makoto Sato), a disgraced former narcotics detective now operating within the criminal underworld, and renegade Aikido master Sakura (Eiji Gō), tensions grow among this three man team of ne'erdowells as each come to question each other’s motives.

"Bruce Lo" is Yasuaki Kurata - a Hong Kong Cinema legend, he was fantastic in everything (great actor too).
Looking forward to this. I met Sonny Chiba twice. May he rest in peace.
Saw this a few times including it's release in theaters in english dub. Actually quite entertaining and some nice moves, I've seen nearly all of his barehand karate movies. Champion of Death, The Killing Machine, and Soul of Chiba for me are his best hand to hand karate fight movies.
P.S. forgot to mention Yasuaki Kurata, excellent martial artist who's appeared in so many Hong Kong movies and in constant demand during that time.
Shout and now arrow huh
Bruce Lo. 🤣🤣🤣
I like how BBJ used the same "By land, by sea" blurb as they did for Black Samurai!
Boachi Bushido Code of the Forgotten Eight (1973) next please!
Chiba and Kurata!!
Bruce Low?
Bruce Low Blow.
God bless chiba
I have this on DVD, but the Blu-Ray release looks appetizing. Having my 2 favorite Japanese stars of Chiba and Kurata in it, plus the excellent bone breaking fight scenes make this film a cut above many martial art flicks.

Remember this movie in the late seventies awesome
Bruce lee wannabe
No he was his own Man. He and Bruce Lee was the biggest names in the Martial Arts movie in the 70s.
@@luisvelazquez5420 kurata... Who was billed as Bruce lo in this... Is a badass
@@fletchkeilman2205 exactly
Why can't we like both. 🤷♂️
@phillydiscoThe popularity of Bruce Lee at Golden Harvest certainly started a wave of imitators. Sonny Chiba at Toei was Japan's answer to that. Although Chiba knew martial arts he was previously a Japanese star of gangster and sci-fi films, and on television with a show called Key Hunter. At the same time Chiba's characters and style of fighting were largely the opposite of what Bruce Lee was doing.
