"well, this is what we're gonna do .... _(3 seconds later with no video of the work)_ ... "well, here it is all done". Glad most of your videos don't replicate this one, because seeing the work is much more fun than just hearing about the work ... i.e the reason for video in the 1st place.
What a beautiful piece of land and a nice looking road!! This video was great!!! I sure hope when I have my road built to my dream house in the woods that they do as good a job!!! I can only imagine how the owners will feel driving down that road and seeing their new house for the first time!! 😁🙌
Great looking job Chris, I noticed you got a cracked windshield I got in a roadblock other day in my old farm truck that had a cracked windshield trooper said I had to fix it I told him be more than the old truck is worth he don't care fix it anyway.
Great job. I wish people would watch this to understand the many steps it takes for most jobs before they plan on building.Doing this kind of work myself I understand it takes time and dollars to do it right but the many new home owners don’t. We’ve had customers build 3 to 500 thousand dollar houses and start trying to cut corners on the prep, foundation and road work. Oh I thought you would push the trees down and scrap it off.!!!!!
Nice work man as usual. I'd love to have some jobs like that. It gets old working around these tight ass houses. Everything is so tedious. I do drive cuts, backfills rough an final grades. But at least I'm working. That sure is a nice wide drive i like it
I was born, raised, & lived in North Dakota for 50 years, the dirt/soil there is black, been in Nevada 20 years, the dirt in tanish-brown, Have never seen red soil, seem to grow thing very well.
Awesome videos brother! Just found your channel today! 23 tractor trailer loads of timber all with a skid steer!?!? WOW that guy was spending a lot of time in that bad boy wasn't he!?
Red clay- More Carolina Grease! I love the work you do in installing the drive and good access. When we were building for builders they would clear and do some “grading” on the drive, but never install any stone. Always made it difficult to bring equipment and supplies in. Our dozer would even get stuck just trying to move over. We would pause work due to the mud, then we would get a phone call from the builders asking why we weren’t working. We would ask, did you drive out and look at the driveway? Usually ended the discussion.
I sure do hope you can show us when it's all done Chris, if, of course, the homeowner allows the camera in there. Thanks for this, it's going to be just great I think.
Looks great, but would have loved to see the work actually being done. A lot of people watch videos like this just to wind down after a long day at work. I'm watching because I bought 40 acres and want to learn and do a lot of this sort of work myself. Thanks for the video though!
Hey I think this would be a great place to see a follow up video on just to see how it all came out. Just sayin. Should’ve had a small pond right there on the downhill side even though it butts up to a lake. I’m just really fond of your pond vids too. Lol
Hi! New subscriber here, making my way through your older videos. You do amazing work. My wife and I just watched this one. In rough terms, what does a project like this cost for everything- road, stumping, all of it! 🤷🏻♂️
Red clay + rain = AstroGlide. here in Georgia you cant dig 3' without hitting the stuff. but it's "fun" if you have work to do and heavy machinery to move onto a job site.
@@floydieharris6236 Ok then, maybe we were a little optimistic and it is more of a 35-40k gig. Yet for that kind of money better shows up with multiple rigs with men at the elm and have the whole property dust it off in no time. What is your take on that? BTW. Six months time for now, and 25k will look like amazing money Floydie.
Building a pole barn at my house, but need to bring grade up in back corner by 3’. How high of lifts should I do between compactions and what material? Straight dirt or use 3/4 minus?

I'd like to know too. I would be interested to see what it looks like once all the building work is finished and the area landscaped...it sure is a great location.
I have been noticing that the dumps that you show have a double load axle?? That they can lower, does that mean they can haul more? And if so what it the pay load capabilities of the trucks
The drop axles helps alot to carry loads. It cannot be put down on twisty or windy roads it makes the steering much harder. It isn't required for the small loads that they are carrying right now.And they cannot carry big loads now bcuz of road tonnage.
Bill every job will varry with materials and dump fees. I have worked that far before but really rather stay closer to home, that's about a 6 hour round trip. I have a friend up that way if you want someone local
Is that clay that heavy that the truck cannot be loaded to the top of the bed? Looked like the truck was only loaded to 2+ feet from the top of the sides.
You mentioned what happens when red clay gets wet ,I grew up in the South and I would play in the red clay (we called it redmudclay)and I found early as a child that if you knead that clay long enough while its wet it will get the same texture of modeling clay.
What you call 'dirt' we in England call 'soil': yours looks really sandy most of the vids I've watched. Is that characteristic of your area? Ours (crewe, cheshire) is heavy clay !
way back in the woods. my kinda house.
more than obvious you are someone who takes prid in their work, great to see and i enjoy watching your videos.
keep it up and good luck going forward
Great job man! That’s some serious progress in 6 days, very impressive!
"well, this is what we're gonna do .... _(3 seconds later with no video of the work)_ ... "well, here it is all done".

This my be my new favorite video of yours... I always enjoy seeing the projects from start to finish
Hey Chris, I just appreciate the videos that you are able to make brother! Y’all got some stuff done!
That’s going to be beautiful when it’s all finished!
What a beautiful piece of land and a nice looking road!! This video was great!!! I sure hope when I have my road built to my dream house in the woods that they do as good a job!!! I can only imagine how the owners will feel driving down that road and seeing their new house for the first time!! 😁🙌
Yeah, I'd say that you know your dirt !
Super nice lot !
Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍
Duckgirl 86 it's a trip ,like you. You guys are special, thanks!

I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
Great looking job Chris, I noticed you got a cracked windshield I got in a roadblock other day in my old farm truck that had a cracked windshield trooper said I had to fix it I told him be more than the old truck is worth he don't care fix it anyway.
Very good job Man ,the house in woods .
Very nice house site...another excellent job...man that had to be expensive!!!
enjoying your videos here in the west coast of Scotland.

That’s what you call a lot of dam stumps brother! Lots of diggin!
Send some of that rain up my way. It's pretty dry here in Northwest Missouri.
I was born, raised, & lived in North Dakota for 50 years, the dirt/soil there is black, been in Nevada 20 years, the dirt in tanish-brown, Have never seen red soil, seem to grow thing very well.
Doing all that clearing with a skid steer, now that is crazy!
Kyle Haley he musta bid the job by the hour....
Exactly my thoughts haha. Man that's a process with a skid steer!
You do some great site work.
I really like these videos CHRIS!
you do fantastic work!

Yep rained out today sitting at the house up loading videos.
Another great job and video!

Y’all do really good looking work!
9:29 Just seeing shapes in the branches, but in the top right center, it looks like a smiley face.Maybe the Green Man was smiling on you that day? :D
Nice video . we got a lot of rain yesterday so we’re rained out in the log woods today

Fantastic work looks excellent
Guess it’s safe to say you’re drought free there. 🌧
BIG difference from the beginning, N1CE job, lucky guy to have this way back in the Woods, Would Love ❤️ to see IT now. 👍✅

Nice dump truck
Looks great!
@letsdig18 why do those dump boxes have short sides, they are way taller here in florida
Should make a nice home place.❤❤❤
Amazing job. Looks great

That looks phenomenal! Whats a ballpark cost of what you did? I know here in Mass it would be astronomical.
My ballpark guess would be at least 20-25k
@@chalemi Mine too.
He wouldn’t even touch it for 25k
@@floydieharris6236 Ok then, maybe we were a little optimistic and it is more of a 35-40k gig. Yet for that kind of money better shows up with multiple rigs with men at the elm and have the whole property dust it off in no time.

You sure do great work thanks for the video.

nice plot in the nature.
That's going to be a nice place to live when finished! Do you have a lot of deer in your area?

What do the owners do for a living they spent thousands just on site prep?
I'd like to know too. I would be interested to see what it looks like once all the building work is finished and the area landscaped...it sure is a great location.
Were you able to pick all the stumps in 1 day?
Good work as usually
Must have buried electric service that far off the road , could you please explain how they do in your area thanks Ed in Ohio
That person is spending tons of money for this project - WOW
how many man hours went into this project?
Well done! Thanks for the video.
Y’all make it look easy
Have you ever considered a tub grinder for your debris removal?
What city / state is this in? Really beautiful
Good looking project with excellent results!
....13
Now that was a good video!
Are you working with landowners or the builder on this project? Looks nice so far!
Yes please give a ballpark of what you charged for something like that????
How many acres is the entire property?
Do you take the silt fence down or does the customer take it down
Didn't you have a bigger volvo? Why didn't you bring the big girl out for the stump removal? Cheers!
What does a project like this cost on average?
Do you have alot of weight restrictions on the roads there? See most of these trucks all have drop axles on them
yeah alot of low tonnage roads
letsdig18 the roads with restrictions are 5 tonne per axle up here in ontario canada march 1- april 31
good work...
What do you mean by Burns?
Nice! Motivation!
how much would a job like this cost?
Viheavyequipment my wild ass guess would be 10k
Depends on the area but most of the time you can get land cleared for 3000 to 3500 per acre. Pulling stumps like this is probably by the hour.
Great job Chris love the video just curious if you do a job in Charlotte and how much would it be? Keep up the good work bud
Bill every job will varry with materials and dump fees. I have worked that far before but really rather stay closer to home, that's about a 6 hour round trip. I have a friend up that way if you want someone local
letsdig18 hey Chris that would be great if you can let me know of a friend in this area
What's a job like this cost?
man your doing so well for only 30 im 27 and no where close
I’ve heard that crush concrete will rebind like it was poured just not as strong.
mine has done that turned into like reg cement, i had it put down 4 years ago as a driveway to my pole barn works great
Is that clay that heavy that the truck cannot be loaded to the top of the bed?
Looked like the truck was only loaded to 2+ feet from the top of the sides.
its heavy because it was overloaded with that!
The clay around here in central NC is heavy and dense. Throw a little moisture in the picture and it gets heavy real quick.
Awesome as always.
How much does this job run/ is it by the hour or job bid.
Good job buddy, looks good. Do y'all do much seeding or leave that for the builder to figure out? YeeYee on the 290 lol!
depends on what the owner wants, this will just wait until the end when everything is done and the house it built then seeded
All that yellow orange clay looked like Pennsylvania dirt till all that red was mixed in
You mentioned what happens when red clay gets wet ,I grew up in the South and I would play in the red clay (we called it redmudclay)and I found early as a child that if you knead that clay long enough while its wet it will get the same texture of modeling clay.
very nice
The camera, when it pops the picture seem to jump or drop .
Love your videos man how come you didn't use the 290
What you call 'dirt' we in England call 'soil': yours looks really sandy most of the vids I've watched. Is that characteristic of your area? Ours (crewe, cheshire) is heavy clay !
