interesting videos depicting removal of GM locks and lost key generation. It's amazing how high tech we have came with wave keys on GM vehicles and transponder programming. These keys can be expensive but going without a spare key can really be a problem on the weekend if all keys become lost.
will an dead battery affect the ignition form popping out bc i was at an junk yard and i could not get my yellow end to pop it out i even gave up an had ran the key code
The exact same thing happened to me today trying this tool set for the first time....i just couldn't get the ignition of a 2012 equinox to pop out...can you tell me what i did wrong...any help will be appreciated...i was working with the yellow end tool
Like so many things in auto lock smithing.. you can come across ones that are bitchy. Ive removed 50 with this tool. I know exactly how to do it.. but will get one still that has me working it for minutes. Some times push the ignition back will relieve some pressure off the retainer. I use the blue side exclusively. It's the side that works for me and the other 2 in my company
Just wondering how did you do itI want to also fabricate my own to to take out my ignition switch if you let me know thank you. Where can I buy the mechanics wire?

I cut a wire hanger and worked great. Threw it away when I was done.
The cylinder just pops back in same way comes out? I have one to do today don't know have the accureader

Works on 2007 and up HHR and Chevy cars with the same ignition type. Both the HHR and Camaro use the same lock only Camaro is HS.
How did you get the ignition to the on position because I see it’s on before you took it out and I’m a key locksmith
