Didn't seem to bother them one bit.... Still a good year for a smaller school good job UNLV I live 45 minutes from Berkeley and I hate that town Stanford sucks cal sucks!!
@sxhzamm3247 From what I understand, the previous QB didn't get the NIL deal as promised. Anyone with integrity would walk. But it's great that the team still had the depth to compete. If couple of tight games had gone their way, UNLV could be in the Playoff.
11:13 he’s lucky those aren’t Big 12 refs. Throwing up the deuces would’ve been an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and would’ve taken the touchdown away
The one where he tried to put the ball over the pylon? I didn't see any evidence that the got it in before going out. Your foot doesn't count, only the ball.
@@mvpfocusnah they were like $40 bucks, $15 for unlv students… but the worst part is the actual trip to LA. No one wants to drive 8hrs in one day and if you flew you had to stay overnight so no thanks
@ im pretty sure it was the second quarter. A short pass to 87. They marked the ball out of bounds at the half yard line. The replays clearly showed 87 inbounds with the ball over the pylon
@@jockwithajoystick 7:15: The eye test alone in real time shows that the player was late bringing the ball around. But there's no replay that shows the ball inside that pylon. One of his toes was barely in, but a foot doesn't count in the front of the endzone, only the ball, which was on the receiver's back shoulder at that point. Based on that positioning, when the player finally did bring the ball up, he was leaning over the out of bounds, so there's no way the ball itself could have been inside the pylon at that point.
The refs were never letting California win. These sporting events are all about the storylines, and the NCAA was deadset on rewarding UNLV after the starting QB abandoned the team earlier in the season.

@@stevelietzow Yeah should've looked before I said anything. Didn't realize he was going for a HC job. Probably would've gone the P4 OC route and maybe land some better opportunities.
Proud of unlv even after their starting quarterback left them for the portal. They still kept the same pace
starting qb and coach
They actually look better now

That was an impressive fake punt, I have to admit. Just looked so fluid and effortless.
@3:48 "Blockers in front!" No blocking going on whatsoever. LoL!
I wonder what the future holds for Hajj Malik, dudes got some serious ballskills
Agreed unfortunately I think he goes undrafted
Xfl?
UFL growing the next few seasons, he will find luck there if he chooses.
bro thought he was Saquon trying to hurdle 0:38
Lmaooo 😂 facts. His slow motion ahh
Rebels!
In past years a 6 - 6 team would not be in a bowl game.
6 wins has gotten you a bowl game since 2010
6-6 teams been getting in for a while

I only watched the first half, but did Harris get hurt or something? Why did they switch qbs in a close game?
Harris got hurt
@@Leodoesthings23 Cal was down to 4th string by the end.
720p for a bowl game is sad

Why no fans in SoFi Stadium?
Tickets probably too expensive.

It’s a Wednesday bowl game when most students at both of these schools are either on finals week or just got off of break.
One of the worst officiated games ever. NCAA needs to investigate, the refs.
That missed TD call was horrendous
