What's eyebrow raising to me is the acceptance of cowplants in general. Eating your family and trying to kill you doesn't make them any less deserving of scritches and affection, it seems. ... (They're so precious, tho!)

Baby Cowplant tho, I've taken multiple pics of one when I played with an older version of base game sims4. (Before the Pets expansion came out.) I wish it had little wiggling animations, or tiny 'moo' noises. Because iT'S sO FRICKinG CUTe. 😆
For once I think this is a feature that's actually better in Sims 4, not just gameplay wise but also the animations. My only issue with it is that it's not particularly threatening as it won't really eat anyone unless you deliberately sacrifice a sim for life essence. The one from Sims 2 was actually dangerous.
The death animation in TS3 really takes the cake (no pun intended) as while the cowplant skeleton in TS4 is kinda nifty, the transition looks half-assed (well, tbh, most anything in TS4 is half-assed)

Yeah a new video !! The cowplant was really scary in the sims 2 despite having not many interactions but the sims 4 got it better, except the death.. There is no animation ! I remember the outrage over it and the complaints - some of them so heated, you'd think it was cooking real babies, not video game sprites. As I recall, Mod the Sims wouldn't carry it on their site, but they did feature it and gave you a link where you could go to download it. Now they should make a barbecue to cook Sims4 discs. :-D

I feel u m8. After my first cowplant died I found a mod (in modthesims? most likely) that makes them live longer, there were several choices of lifespan and I think it also had an option to make them immortal. Mods are your best friends.

I love that the Cowplants make very tiger-like noises (especially the chuffs). I love them so much. Me and my friend (we use my friend's sims) got a Cowplant and wanted it to consume someone, so we made a new character to try it. The Cowplant kept spitting them out but eventually it ate them. Still love that Cowplant.
I like how one of the "work from home" possibilities for Sims 4 Seasons' Botanist career can be "Get Swallowed By A Cowplant." Since going into the scientific career branch of the Botanist career rather than the florist part gives you a Cow Berry as a career reward.
The Sims 2 cracked me up, with the "Drank Anne" positive memory. 😂 But I would say, in that comparison, everyone kind of wins, since it's all so similar. And I didn't know you could place the Cowplant indoors and it gets it small pot back. That was one thing, I was kind of missing and I think my Sims now have a new guest at their dinner table. Hehehehe.
I don't know who came up with the cow plant in the first place. But I still think that is one of the very best items ever added to the Sims games. It is a shame there wasn't one in Sims 1.
Sims 4 is the best, for a specific value of "best" involving Sim-eating plant monsters. (I. . .may be biased as one ate a favorite Sim of mine before I could actually get into the lot to stop him grabbing the cake. Fortunately it was a first eating and thus he was fine -- after I loaded back into the lot to fix a bug with his needs post-nomming -- but it really soured me on the concept of cowplants as a whole.)
I love love LOVE the S4 cowplants, they're absolutely adorable, I want one irl, and they can actually interact with you and you with them rather than the basic boredom they were in S2. I enjoy having to work to find them, makes them much more valuable than if they're just bought, and I actually like that they're not immortal, meaning we actually have to take care of them if we want them around, you can't just place and forget. The only thing that bothers me is just how vulnerable they are! They're plants (sort of), ffs! Even animals last longer than a day without food. Heck, trees can survive being mostly burned, and bloom the next year like nbd, as befits nature's baddest mf. When my cowplant died, I was devastated :( I worked so hard to get my girl, then she turns out so fragile T-T (the skeleton looks dope, tho). Bless modders for making my girls more resilient. Did I mention I love the cowplants? I love them so much.
It is a bit dumb tbh. One day from after its hungry and dead. Ik it’s animated and alive and probably wasting more energy than an irl plant but could at least have a few days to feed it.
In the Sims 4 if you want the cow plant without having to do any work you could just simply do: Shift Ctrl C to open the command bar. *Put in TestingCheats on* Type in Exactly: bb.showhiddenobjects (do it I live mode). Go into build mode and in the search bar type up Cow Plant it will both show you the seed and the berry Your welcome! ☺️😎👍
Lmao, I remember playing this and having a cowplant. I pretty much had a family and the "dad" character didn't know about the cowplant yet, the cowplant was very hungry so the cowplant let its cake out, then the "dad" pretty much tried to grab the cake, After that, I was like: wtf where did dad go? did he leave for milk?

To easily get Cowplant for PC: 1. Press Shift+CTRL+C at the same time 2. Type: bb.showhiddenobjects 3. Go into building modeSearch ‘Cowplant Berry’. It costs 1K Of your in-game money.

I prefer the interactions/animations in The Sims 4 and the fact you get a skeleton when it dies, but I liked that the Sims 2 cowplant is actually pretty dangerous. Once my sims had a cowplant and the nannies kept getting eaten and my sims kept drinking the nannies. Also I liked that when a sim hated another sim in The Sims 2 they'd sometimes roll the want to drink that sim.
You could run an essence shop by feeding people to your cowplant and making them happy beforehand And also, You could say that the Sims 4 *"takes the cake"*
The fact that in s4 you can hear the screams of the sim after being eaten…oh and that you can actually see them through the stem, it gives me chills that you can see the piece going through its…throat?
I love how, in the sims 2, they care to make the cow`s cheeks more plump, because It make seem like the plant is really enjoy chewing the food. It seems much more appealing and realistic.

They'll also die if you keep them in your family inventory for a long time. When you take them back out, they're dead; so if you're carrying them around, remember to take them out and feed them regularly.
4:30 I would just add that The Cow plant elixir also affects children and unlike the normal life elixir, the cow plant elixir rejuvenates up to 5 days even if sim was at the beginning of life, but the bar's meter doesn't just move (I tried with a two days old child and sim didn't grow after only 3 days).
Right now in Sims 4 I have an alien family with a cow plant they treat as a pet XD it's like the perfect family dog for them lmao. I love it XD so cute, I just make sure to feed it unless a Sim pisses me off, haven't actually seen it eaten one of my Sims yet, maybe soon ;)

I feel u m8. After my first cowplant died I found a mod (in modthesims? most likely) that makes them live longer, there were several choices of lifespan and I think it also had an option to make them immortal. Mods are your best friends.

The Sims 2 cracked me up, with the "Drank Anne" positive memory. 😂 But I would say, in that comparison, everyone kind of wins, since it's all so similar. And I didn't know you could place the Cowplant indoors and it gets it small pot back. That was one thing, I was kind of missing and I think my Sims now have a new guest at their dinner table. Hehehehe.
I don't know who came up with the cow plant in the first place. But I still think that is one of the very best items ever added to the Sims games. It is a shame there wasn't one in Sims 1.

Sims 4 is the best, for a specific value of "best" involving Sim-eating plant monsters. (I. . .may be biased as one ate a favorite Sim of mine before I could actually get into the lot to stop him grabbing the cake. Fortunately it was a first eating and thus he was fine -- after I loaded back into the lot to fix a bug with his needs post-nomming -- but it really soured me on the concept of cowplants as a whole.)
I love love LOVE the S4 cowplants, they're absolutely adorable, I want one irl, and they can actually interact with you and you with them rather than the basic boredom they were in S2. I enjoy having to work to find them, makes them much more valuable than if they're just bought, and I actually like that they're not immortal, meaning we actually have to take care of them if we want them around, you can't just place and forget. The only thing that bothers me is just how vulnerable they are! They're plants (sort of), ffs! Even animals last longer than a day without food. Heck, trees can survive being mostly burned, and bloom the next year like nbd, as befits nature's baddest mf. When my cowplant died, I was devastated :( I worked so hard to get my girl, then she turns out so fragile T-T (the skeleton looks dope, tho). Bless modders for making my girls more resilient. Did I mention I love the cowplants? I love them so much.
It is a bit dumb tbh. One day from after its hungry and dead. Ik it’s animated and alive and probably wasting more energy than an irl plant but could at least have a few days to feed it.
In the Sims 4 if you want the cow plant without having to do any work you could just simply do: Shift Ctrl C to open the command bar.
*Put in TestingCheats on*
Type in Exactly: bb.showhiddenobjects (do it I live mode).
Go into build mode and in the search bar type up Cow Plant it will both show you the seed and the berry

I pretty much had a family and the "dad" character didn't know about the cowplant yet, the cowplant was very hungry so the cowplant let its cake out, then the "dad" pretty much tried to grab the cake, After that, I was like: wtf where did dad go? did he leave for milk?

If you have the City Living expansion pack, you can harvest cowplant berries at either the romance or spice festival (I forget which).
I prefer the interactions/animations in The Sims 4 and the fact you get a skeleton when it dies, but I liked that the Sims 2 cowplant is actually pretty dangerous. Once my sims had a cowplant and the nannies kept getting eaten and my sims kept drinking the nannies. Also I liked that when a sim hated another sim in The Sims 2 they'd sometimes roll the want to drink that sim.
You could run an essence shop by feeding people to your cowplant and making them happy beforehand
And also, You could say that the Sims 4 *"takes the cake"*

They'll also die if you keep them in your family inventory for a long time. When you take them back out, they're dead; so if you're carrying them around, remember to take them out and feed them regularly.

4:30 I would just add that The Cow plant elixir also affects children and unlike the normal life elixir, the cow plant elixir rejuvenates up to 5 days even if sim was at the beginning of life, but the bar's meter doesn't just move (I tried with a two days old child and sim didn't grow after only 3 days).
Right now in Sims 4 I have an alien family with a cow plant they treat as a pet XD it's like the perfect family dog for them lmao. I love it XD so cute, I just make sure to feed it unless a Sim pisses me off, haven't actually seen it eaten one of my Sims yet, maybe soon ;)
