Fun Fact: Did you know that some voice actors from Spongebob voiced some of the villans seen in this ride. First there's Rodger Bumpass (the voice of Squidward) who provided the voice of Doctor Octopus and then there's Bill Fagerbakke (the voice of Patrick) who provided the voice of Hydro-Man.
Reeeeeeaaaaaaaally? That's super cool, since Bill would then technically reprise the role in Spectacular Spider-Man - despite him never actually becoming Hydro Man.
Rodger also did one of the narrators in the MIB preshow next door. And Chris Edgerly, the voice of both Spider-Man AND J. Jonah Jameson, is also the voice of the Wormy Guy animatronic in the MIB preshow, and the shadow gag in the exit.

1:43 I have never been able to tell why Doc Ock falls backwards here. Because this footage is so clear, I was finally able to see that the “bumper” rips of the ride vehicle. So he lets go of us, and he flies backwards. I have been on this ride dozens of times and I never grasped that. I feel so…complete.

The CGI from the current iteration of the ride is really good, but I absolutely love the look of retro CGI. This looks right out of an FMV cutscene for an old video game. Thank you for sharing this!

He grabs onto the vehicles front bumper and it gets pried off as the vehicle is moving backwards while he’s pulling it, then it pops loose and sends him flying back

It's interesting to see how the designs have changed from being carbon copies of the Animated Series into its own thing.

The enhanced designs are like a mixture between the 90s Cartoon and the Sam Raimi Film Universe
