    When the alarm is armed (both home and away) the wireless siren flashes approximately every 5 seconds, is this supposed to happen?

    Thanks for the video. I have a problem when the alarm is triggered. In my system I configured a telephone number to receive only phone calls and inform the recipient with a pre recorded message. Well, the telephone call is regularly received but the message is not the one that has been pre-recorded by me but a message that allows the recipient to manage the alarm system "Press1 to arm , 2 to disarm, 3 to ear, 4 to talk". This message is the same that correctly I ear (the owner of the system) when I call the SIM card number inside the alarm system and want to mamage the alarm. But imagine if is the police to receive this message....... Instead I want to send the pre-recorded message in which I say to police officer "There is an alarm, in my house at bla bla street, please come immediately".

      Which Sim card are you using?
      Please see the following information: osigodirect.kb.help/how-to-use-a-sim-card-with-the-osi-wi-fi-alarm-system/
      Under #3. How to record the alarm voice message
      You can record up to a 20 second voice message, when the OSI alarm system sensor is triggered, it will call the pre-set number(s)and play the alarm voice message.
      Also see #4. Step #10

      Thanks for the excellent videos and very complete KB. It is step by step what I have done.
      1. Set the duration of the message
      2. Recorded the message
      3. Entered the phone number along with the check mark on Phone call
      4. Simulated an alarm
      5. Received the phone call...........but the voice was not my one with the pre recorded message but only "Press1 to arm , 2 to disarm, 3 to ear, 4 to talk".
      I also changed the SIM card inside the alarm with another but no better results were achieved.
      Could be a problem of firmware?@@OSIGoDirect

    Hi. First, the siren of the control unit goes off and only after a few seconds the blue siren ... I can't solve it. The wireless siren is 30cm from the control panel.

    How do you connect it to a door sensor so I can use it as a doorbell option?
    Thank you

    • @OSIGoDirect
      @OSIGoDirect  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Strobe Alarm Siren cannot be used as a doorbell as it is specifically programmed to sound an alarm siren. The doorbell sound only comes from the OSI alarm system display.
      However, our new and reasonably priced OSI Mini Alarm system is a compact portable alarm system where both the siren and doorbell sounds come from the mini hub (with a built-in speaker) which can be plugged directly into any electrical outlet. It comes with a door sensor and motion pir.
      Please note that the OSI Mini Alarm is a separate device and does not connect to the OSI alarm system (with display) although the sensors can be used for either device.

    I followed your steps exactly and got the results as said. But the problem is, the wireless siren works only after SOS button pressed. It does not work for alerts of detectors. For detectors alers, only the main device's default siren works. Could you please help me..... Many thanks

    Hi, my wirles stobe goes off but won't turn off. Do you know what I can do about this? thanks

    • @OSIGoDirect
      @OSIGoDirect  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you give more details of your issue? Is this connected to the osi alarm? Is it going off on its own or is it going off when the alarm is triggered. Or did you press the sos panic button? Are you trying to turn it off from the display, remote or smart life app? Did it do this once or all the time.?
      Try these trouble shooting solutions:
      1. Try unplugging the wireless siren and turning off the power, wait 20 seconds, then turning the power back on and plugging it back in.
      2. Try deleting the siren from the panel and re adding it.
      3. Try power cycling the alarm panel. This means unplugging the alarm panel, then turning off the back up battery switch on the back near the usb power port. Wait a minute, then turn the back up battery switch to thr on position, then plug it back in. This should give the display a nice clean reset (this will not erase anything...all your setting will remain).
      Or perhaps the siren is too far away from the display. Move it to a closer location where the signal can reach properly as there may be too many arriers in between.
      See if any of those steps work!🙂

      @@OSIGoDirect Hi, sorry for the late response but thank you for your detailed message. the wireless strobe is registered with the osi alarm. When the alarm goes off, the wireless strobe will also go off. Then when I turn off the alarm with the remote, the wireless strobe continues to make noise. Then I have to manually turn it off. I've tried all the options you suggested, but unfortunately they don't work. Maybe you know a further solution? Thank you. Kind regards, Marco

      Since the siren is wireless (does not have to be connected directly to the alarm panel) you can install it anywhere in your home or small business.

    • @OSIGoDirect
      @OSIGoDirect  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would be advised to place the siren in a location that is not easily accessible. The siren can be installed 150 feet away from the alarm panel. The siren is VERY loud and would scare off an intruder that enters your home.
