Thank you, but I need the chime to sound on a different source as well. Is this possible? I cant hear the chime in the back of the store. The keypad is in the front of the store.
So after installing the keypad how do you make the system use the passcode to disarm? Anyone can enter and press the disarm button
Please check these settings:
1. Go to Menu > Settings> Switch
2. Select Keypad Lock
3. Check to ensure that it is set to 'ON'
by pressing the white/grey square will turn the keypad lock 'ON' or 'OFF'
4. When you turn it 'On' and select the check mark to save the settings, then back out the the main screen.
5. Select the square with a lock on it (bottom right) this will put the display to sleep.
6. You may be asked for the passcode, if so enter the passcode and select the square with the key again and the screen will go black.
7. Now touch the screen, the screen will turn on. Then select disarm, you will be asked for a passcode.
8. When you enter the passcode and select the check mark you will have full access to the keypad.

Can you set a door alarm or chime that will sound when someone enters when system unarmed?
The OSI does have a Chime (doorbell) feature. When the door is open the Chime will sound. It will not work as both a detection sensor and chime at the same time. It will have to be one or the other.

You can place two door sensors on one door and program one as an alarm and the other as a door chime. Important to note that the sensors would need to be placed on the door in such a way that the signals do not cancel each other out. We will be coming out with a video to demonstrate this.
Thank you. Its a little disappointing that the door sensor cant chime when disarmed and function as a door sensor when armed like many other alarms. Is there a way to get the chime from the siren as well? Looking to hear when someone enters when I'm in the back room and the alarm is in the front of the store.
I apologize, but the siren is designed to function solely as a siren and cannot be reprogrammed to serve as a door chime.
However, you have the option of adding an additional door sensor to the door and configuring it as a doorbell. It's important to ensure that the two sensors on the door are not activated simultaneously, as their signals could interfere with each other. For instance, you can place one door sensor closer to the door opening to be used as an alarm, and position another sensor further back to function as a doorbell. This way, the signals will be delayed sufficiently to prevent cancellation when transmitted to the alarm system.

@@linocarosella8748 For your specific needs, it would be advisable to consider purchasing a separate door chime. This standalone component is designed to chime when the door is opened, and you have the flexibility to place the chime unit in any desired room.

@@linocarosella8748 Correct, only the keypad. The OSI alarm system keypads (Alarm system) work independently and cannot be integrated with each other.
I have disabled bluetooth on my phone and would like to keep it that way. Is it absolutely necessary to have bluetooth on?
Bluetooth is only required when connecting the alarm panel to Smart Life App. Once connected you can turn off your Bluetooth as the alarm panel will rely on the Wi-Fi connection.
In the timer section of the app I set up a schedule. In the schedule it has a notification switch. I turn the notification switch off, gray, so the alarm will not talk when it arms/disarms itself. It still talks and cherps when it arms/disarms. Am I misunderstanding what this switch does?
If you have one of the more recent alarm panels you can disable the arm/disarm notification by following these directions: osigodirect.kb.help/how-do-you-turn-off-the-arm-and-disarm-notifications/
If your app does not display the 'Mode App Sound' under the app settings then it will not be possible to disable the arm and disarm notification.
You can disable the cherp sound (arm beep)
On the alarm panel select Menu -> Settings-> Switch-> Arm Beep. Select the white/grey squares to turn off the Arm Beep and select the check mark to save the settings.

Instead of using a sim card for it to make the phone calls, is there a way to hook up an auto dialer for a landline?
At present there is no solution to hook up to an auto dialer

Is there a way to force entering a password on the keypad to disarm the system because right now if the system is armed and you walk inside the house if you press on Disarm that will dosable the alarm
Yes there is.
First ensure that you know what the passcode is or you can create a 4 digit passcode by going to:
Menu >Settings >Password
When you have saved your passcode do the following to force the alarm system to ask for the passcode when 'Disarm' is selected.
Go to Menu> Settings> Switch> Keypad Lock> select the white and grey square to enable to Keypad Lock. It should turn green and say yes.
Select the check mark to save the setting.

Is it possible to change the network credentials
To change the network credentials you can select Menu on the panel display, then select Wi-Fi, then select Unbind. This will reset the wi-fi and will delete the alarm panel from the smart life app. You can then add the alarm panel device back to the smart life app with your new wifi credentials

A sim card is not required.. You can receive notification via Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Is the wired siren to be mounted internal or external of the building?
The wired siren connects internally as it is not waterproof and made for indoor use.

@@garethjones2053 That is correct, however if you did find a outdoor siren with EV1527 433Mhz encoding, it would pair with the alarm system
