Can't beat those first generation 55a tractors mine is 9 years old. 2 wheel drive with loader. It does way more than it should and has never had anything other than grease oil and filter changes.
Deborah Flint we are located in the United States in southeastern Pennsylvania between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. I predominately grow vegetables for my family and livestock. This field was a cornfield that has been fallow for 3 1/2 yrs that I will converting to pasture land for my pigs and chickens. I also plan to raise turkeys in the coming year as well.
Boy , thats a lot of enterprises. In our area ,Canola,Wheat ,Lupins and sheep for wool and fat lambs are produced. Great to receive your replies, Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Deborah Flint I have a 7’ rotary tiller and 7’ 3pt disc harrow - the issue with the harrow is weight, it bounces around quite a bit and doesn’t break the clods or smooth the soil too well. That’s why I bought the tiller. Thank you for asking.

Merry Christmas to you and a safe, healthy, and happy New Year to you and your family.
How do you level these fields out after ploughing as they look pretty rough ?

Where's the video of the smoothing out process?! Sitting on the edge of my chair waiting!
In the spring I’ll use the tiller to create a smooth seedbed and I’ll definitely video and post that ... stay tuned Eliza.
