    If you relocate the valve near the pump for a higher inlet pressure, please note that the pressure drop would increase too. One cannot take for granted that the drop will be above the vapor pressure. So one has to analyze the fluid dynamics on case to case. Cannot assume that mere relocate will solve the problem.
