This is an astonishingly good intro to Kdenlive! Thanks so much for making this! I have some basic familiarity with the software but I had no clue it was capable of so much. I'm going to have to go through this again and take notes on things like the keyboard shortcuts.
You can learn about the color workspace here: th-cam.com/video/2RyBH7fs5q8/w-d-xo.html The audio workspace here: th-cam.com/video/oLdYnkcLUWI/w-d-xo.html The videos talk workspace but aren't about workspace. *Thank you, thank you, even though I know how to use it, but I was wishing you do some long tutorials, I'm watching it to learn something I missed maybe 😅, waiting for the Advanced episode*
How do you make an image slide in from the left & another slide in from the right at the same time to overlap each other in the middle? I get a black border on each image that cover the other.
@@nuxttux Thanks. If I rotate an image or position zoom, this doesnt work. The images get cut off & the preview window becomes very small with black bars on each side. Its like the "work space" becomes less than half the size.
@guitarzan73 this happens to me when the media (image/video) has a different aspect ratio to that of the project - as if the transform is trying to force the project aspect ratio onto the media. You could place each image in a sequence of its own and use the sequences as the image - which is heavier.
is there a way to make a composition of multiple layers without having to create a new project? thats the only thing im really missing from After Effects
actually this is the best intro to kdenlive so far
I accept the compliment 😁
Fantastic no nonsense, fast moving tutorial that code a selection of thing anyone might want to do. You got my sub!
This is a great where to start thank you. Also for the assets and the series. I agree we need more !
Thanks! More to come!

You’re welcome. I hope it serves.
@@nuxttuxCould you please make similar separate beginners tutorials for other pages of kdenlive as well?

Nice video. I had no idea about insert zone project in bin.
Thank you! There are so many functions that go along with the zones and three point editing.
Interesting!!!
Which editor do you use?
@ nowadays I’m using Kdenlive. By the way, I purchased your course in Udemy.
That's great! I'm open to feedback, and don't hesitate to ask any questions on the topic.
Really great tutorial!
Thanks! I'm open to feedback!

You're welcome. I'll definitely cover more advanced topics in a future video. I'm organising and working up the nerves.

Stack one on top of the other in the timeline, add a Transform effect to each and manually animate them to overlap. Are trying to blend them?

Yes, you can create sequences in Kdenlive. Go to minute 23:27. It doesn't work exactly like After Effects.
