Vinyl Pimp was like Gilles is coming, lets increase the prices. Well don't blame Gilles tho...vinyl prices in some stores are mentally ill. I always set a limit for myself I don't buy over 25 USD. Since I live in Japan/Tokyo with the most record stores in the world there are daily sales. Just gotta digg every week and be quick. I've got 50 USD records for 5 USD and only spent 5 times over 20 USD. Now Gilles does have the budget to spend 300 quid unlike me and most of us. But still. Diggin for vinyl should stay fun.
It's really probably not. I know a few musicians who've given all the records they played on away to friends, then realised they didn't have them themselves and bought used copies years later. Gilles has been involved with the release of so many records, it's very likely he hasn't got copies of a fair few. Or maybe they've just got lost amongst his collection?
