    Most regional promotions are barely profitable which is why nobody is really mad theyre paying fighteers $100-$1k to fight.
    On the other end, UFC is clearly making HUGE profits. So many sponsors and the ESPN deal sent their profits through the roof. Definitely the UFC had to use some of those profits to cover prior debts (they were bleeding money as well back in the 90s and 00s and huge debts), but its 2023 now, theyve been successful for a while.
    Its clear UFC spends all their profits sharing with shareholders and improving their brand. When they should be improving fighter pay. I think 10k/10k is the lowest contract right now but its even less for the UFC shows (TUF, DWCS, etc). I think theyre getting like 5k/5k.
    Anyways, the only solution is to support other organisations. Dont only watch UFC. Watch Bellator, watch ONE, watch PFL, watch RIZIN, watch KSW, etc. They all have some the best fighters in the world.
    A UFC monopoly means fighters will never get paid fairly 👎

    The ufc pay is always interesting to me. Like a decent guy might make let’s say 20k and 20k, so if he fights 4 times a year, and we can even say he lost once so it’s more realistic, that’s still 140k a year, not including any bonuses he may have gotten for performance of the night, so we factor that in, and the cost of coaching, food, taxes, and just day to day living, he’s probably sitting on at least 80k a year, and that’s if you’re an active, decent fighter, who wins 3/4 fights. It’s when guys make 20 and 20 but only fight twice a year, and they lose one of those fights, and they have a lackluster decision so no bonuses, and they spend there money on stupid shit. That’s when guys complain about fighter pay, but if you’re an average fighter, who takes care of your body, and is smart, you should still make a killer living without even cracking the top 10.

    • @scottstone1475
      @scottstone1475 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No sir. Your numbers are easy to look at but it's not how it is. Coaching gym etc cost a mint plus rent car. Food
      If he made 140G he's coming out with prob. 50 g a year. That's not enough to get your face ,legs, etc smashed.

    • @mikegold3130
      @mikegold3130 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@scottstone1475 you’re not taking into consideration that every UFC fighter is allowed access at the PI, which is free for them to use for training and recovery, or even strength and condition. And you aren’t taking into consideration that many guys have sponsors, who send them free gear or free food. They might even have a job coaching at a gym part time in between fights, or one of there fights they received a bonus for fight of the night which is 50k itself. Everything is individual based, no ones is the same because it depends on, how good of a fighter you are, how healthy you stay year round, and if you promote yourself outside of fighting. The average guy who isn’t elite level, but shows up consistently, fights whoever, and accepts all the opportunities that come with the title “UFC fighter”, will be able to make a decent living off the sport, and if you’re only making 50k a year you’re either losing all your fights, or spending your money on none sense. I knew a ufc fighter, heavyweight who was 1-5 in the ufc and he still made more than 50k a year before he got cut. So if you’re a guy who fights 4 times a year, and you win most of your fights, you won’t be making only 50k a year that’s just unrealistic.

    • @TN_vigilance
      @TN_vigilance ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The only guys that don’t make millions don’t fight on the main card. Guys that fight on the main card make millions a year. Which is how it should he if nobody’s paying to see you fight you don’t need to make what the guys on the main card do. Their pay is fair. Once they get to the main card start racking up belts or title defenses then they start clearing 500k 750k and eventually a few million per fight. People that bc they’re professional fighters they’re entitled to millions immediately. Completely forgetting the face the UFC is a business. Far from any NFL or NBA or whatever

    average wage of anybody in America is 36,000 ok so think logically, they are guaranteed 3 fights a year of they want. So do the math they are guaranteed the average salary to start the career. people love to whine about fighter pay but don't really do the math.

    • @tylergaye5457
      @tylergaye5457 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, professional MMA fighters usually only take home around 40-50% of their pay after taxes and training

    • @SceptilePetile
      @SceptilePetile ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t forget to mention the thousands and thousands of dollars it costs to run your training camps, nutritionists, S&C, sparring partners. Add ontop of that the crazy stress on the body and no health insurance?? 8k to maybe die but it’s cool the boss is making millions to himself on that? People pay to see the fighters and the fights, not Dana White and his investors.

  • @Lvl75Zapdos

    People think fighter pay is unfair but literally nobody was watching Chito fight two years ago, $8,000 is a lot of money for someone who didn’t go to school and is illiterate, don’t like the pay go to school bum

    ufc pay is actually really good when you consider the fact 90% of the fighters get paid thousands but dont bring in any fans they should be fighting regionals for $500
