    A lot of this stuff IS still sold here in Canada. The Nestle Plant in Trenton, Ontario closed approx 2 years ago, but we get their products shipped over from the US. The Ragu plant in Peterborough, Ontario closed in 2008, but I do believe I've seen some in Walmart.A lot of these items may not be manufactured in Canada anymore, but they are sold in our stores

    Delissio actually did have a factory in Canada, in Québec; Nestlé sold it so they could focus on more profitable foods. That factory still markets frozen pizza under the brand Rustica (which is why the packaging is so similar to Delissio’s). They did change the recipe, however, and I do prefer the original Delissio crust much more than Rustica’s.

    • @quentinwolf
      @quentinwolf 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I was devastated when Delissio pulled out, but quickly found Rustica and enjoyed the quality. That's neat to learn they are operating out of the same factory. A suitable replacement when you catch them on sale, full price is a bit much so I just watch for sales to save $4-6

    Ragu original sauce is the main ingredient (as well as Classico four cheese) to my family spaghetti sauce for many years growing up. When my Dad found out they were gone from the shelves we were devastated 💔😭 Our luck was changed two years ago when my long distance boyfriend (now fiancé) brought the two big jar sizes of the original Ragu from his local Vons store 😊 He and a friend I met through my fiancé who’s in Washington state to bring a couple jars if we are ever out 🥰

    No, Stouffers got caught using oil by products and forever plastics in all,of their products and that none of the meats or cheeses are actual meat or cheese, just soy meat and oil by products for real cheese. Plus they used Preservatives to extend the shelf life even though they promote never using preservatives. Unlike here in the United States were you can claim 100% beef while only using soy beans,

    I first had Skippy Peanut Butter about 2 years ago and it has taken #1 spot of Peanut Butter for me.
    Downside: only 2 store franchises I know regularly have them here in Australia.
    For the longest time, it was just Woolworths and I began buying it from them less and less because they kept raising the price and lowering the discount rate whenever it went on sale.
    Thankfully, for the near future, Costco can provide me with a 2 litre jar and I've barely gotten far into it yet when I bought it almost a whole month ago.
    I'm going to be enjoying that single jar for quite a while 😋

    Pass me a Puffs, well Kleenex should make a comeback, probably making a factory in China to import them into Canada.
    Into one extent, why Kraft would acquire Peter Pan, so it probably becomes the new number one in the US while Skippy will be selling less in the US.

    I never bought Stouffer‘s products quit frankly I thought they were too cheaply made. As far as plastic bags go in grocery stores I don’t really miss them, at least fabric bags don’t rip like plastic bags do. The only thing I do miss are actual bag boys who would pack your groceries for you at the end of the checkout line.

    Shame that you can't buy Kleenex in Canada anymore. You'll have to use another brand if you need a good cry.
