I'm happy this video helped! The first night there was definitely terrifying but the culture shock was over very quickly. I hope your years abroad are the best years ever!
Tell them that you can travel with an organisation! I'm traveling to Denmark with AFS, and it's going to be great. You can show them videos of people going studying abroad, tell them that it's really secure
make a list of reasons the experience would be good for you, how much it will cost, and how you know it’s safe those were the things my mom asked for and when i presented it all to her she agreed and i was off to italy for a year
Tell them that it is through your school or a trusted organization. Show them that they should be confident in you by showing your independence back at home! Also, studying abroad is an amazing experience to have on your resume because of the new environment that you have to quicky get used to!
Hi question! I also applied to the open campus block program through CIEE except I’m saying in London the entire time. did you go through your university? I applied through my university and got in, but I’m still waiting to hear back from CIEE to see if I got in through there. Do you remember when you found out you got accepted through ciee? Thanks !

What program did you go through? I'm currently looking into the CIEE program myself!!
Melinda Chambers I did the Paris open campus program! It was AMAZING while it lasted. The staff is great and they plan super fun events. 10/10
