Easily one of the best depictions in a game of ancient Egypt, the level of realism and arcutectural accuracy was made possible with the immense research undertaken in this games development. Its as close to what ancient Egypt would of been like as is probably possible to depict. The underworld and afterlife elements of Assassin's Creed Origins, are equally amazing and fascinating, and again are based on accurate Egyptian beliefs of the afterlife. Am still playing this game, alone with Odyssey, the two best assassins creed games by far. I don't think the cut down latest assassins creed game 'Mirage' will be as good, it seems heavily scripted, very short game, and a small map size. Give me Origins and Odyssey any day.
There should be made even older Assassins Creed, from the times of greatest power of Ancient Egypt, when the great Pyramids were build, or when Djoser ruled. That would be something better even than Origins. But we should be able to loot the tombs, take from them more golden stuff and gold. It's one of those tiny problems in Origins, Bayek is poor and naive, he has no money but when he sees treasure he refuse to take all that gold. We leave the treasures intact and go killing and stealing 200gold from soldiers😅😅😅.
Agreed. Mirage was fun but the narrative focus makes the gameplay progression feel pointless. By the time I unlocked the best skills and tools I only had a handful of main cases to finish. The story was good and helped expand the lore, but the removal of any out-of-Animus experience/modern plot disappointed me greatly. It was a fun game, but it made me miss Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla very much. I'm replaying Origins on NG+ right now. I also thought Basim's Assassin Focus ability was cool. You can kill a maximum of 5 enemies with it, but the forts and camps are so small that I never really got to use the ability to its full potential that often. The Great Garrison was the biggest fortress in the game, but the Walls of the Ruler in AC Origins and Ptolemy's Palace make Mirage's one fortress seem like a tiny base camp. I hope that the next AC games have something more to offer. I miss exploring entire districts and countries, skulking through royal palaces with hundreds of guards and many secrets...Mirage didn't give me the same sense of wonder the previous three games did.
