@@Miscast Bunnings sells rolls of aluminium flashing in their plumbing / roofing sections; I suspect the thinnest is still a bit thicker than your coffee tin stuff - but I use it all the time for various things, tents, flags, cloaks, even belts as you can cut it into thin strips with scissors. The roll coast about $10-15 and will last me several life times, even after giving some away to friends.
You know what's even better than balsa? The wood with which they package Brie cheese. Lidl sell a really good Brie - Brie de Meaux - and along each side of the wedge there is wooden packaging. This is real wood, approx 30 mm X 150mm and possibly less than 1mm thick. The Brie is also excellent if you let it mature in the fridge for a week.
Looks fantastic. I havent made any furniture yet but have made a turkey dinner and wine bottles out of green stuff, and some books and jars for a bookshelf.
Amazing, great build. Also good tip, I will never throw the top of the coffee tin away again. Goes to show what we can do with recycled material if we use a little imagination.👏👏👏👍👍👍
I would also try silver metal ducting tape, the kind you can get at home improvement stores for sealing dryer ducts and stuff like that. same properties but a lot cheaper in the long run and sticks naturally, because its well... tape.
"Spalting" is the effect on the wood you were trying to convey. Wiki: Spalting is any form of wood coloration caused by fungi. Although primarily found in dead trees, spalting can also occur in living trees under stress. Although spalting can cause weight loss and strength loss in the wood, the unique coloration and patterns of spalted wood are sought by woodworkers.
Love this! Definitely need to remember this when i crack open my next case of coffee. Also need to grab some woodstain next time i can go to a hardware store :P
I might try this with my Dark Souls Board Game, but I'm no where near a city mall, so I'm limited on supplies, but I do have paint, and popsicle sticks, and a glue gun, so hopefully it will be a fun build X3
Just over 4 mins, pretty good for you Trent I thought. Bam, hits us with 25 seconds of coffee drinking. Good vid though, metal details were a nice touch.
When he talked about the chairs as weapons....i got a throwback to when one of my players carried a chair for several days, just to throw it on a goddess head... And kill it?!?!
I don’t know if you know, but on broheim there is already a tavern brawl scenario! Check it out, it’s quite cool, and meant to be a non lethal breather in between bouts
Check out an old GW game called Brew House bash. It's a fantastic, fun little game in which players get throw bottles and furniture each other. Or each other at each other.
What is this style of table called? When I search for metal banded table, all I get are images of tables with metal banding along the edge of the table.
If you want to get this type of material without buying a bunch of coffee search for "Aluminum Shim Stock" and whatever thickness you want.
This is the comment I was hoping for!! Thank you!

@@davidbrown4849 Perfect mate! I'll grab some! Thank you
@@Miscast If you have a Dollarydoo Tree nearby, they might sell disposable aluminum pans. That's what I use.
I've been using the foil from Whiskey bottles like an idiot...
Today sucked I lost my kitten but this is helping me
Sorry to hear that mate, best wishes.
That's sucks mate. Keep your head up and you got this.
oh no i don't want to down play your pain but last year my kitten got lost while entering the house in the night
Sorry to hear that I lost a runt of the litter kitten on 2018
The wood looks so good!
I can practically feel it stick to my shirt while I rest my arm on it.
I really liked the tavern floor. Something about it really pulled the entire project together. Great build!
These are great... scratch building is so much more satisfying than just buying things to me

I love the little decorations. They always add that tiny bit of detail to every scene. Nice job!
Thank you! Cheers!
One of the BEST furniture craft videos I've seen. WOW.
Cheers!
The improvised soup was absolutely genius. A very small touch that just adds so much more character.
"Distressed" covers all the mould and rot you can imagine lol. I am going to be building a bigger (1:18th) tavern so this was super helpful.
Did you just hear this man? He said NEXT. WEEK. I just got the consistency shivers. WOOOO
Sometimes the "dumb", simple stuff is the most fun (and adds the most visual appeal). Looks great! :)
Thanks :)
Looks fantastic.
I havent made any furniture yet but have made a turkey dinner and wine bottles out of green stuff, and some books and jars for a bookshelf.
Great looking furniture. Love that you used real wood and real wood stain and then used real metal. Awesome.
Thank you very much!
absolutly adorable from start to finish

I love your enthusiasm for this build. It's infectious! You've also convinced me to finally go out and buy some balsa wood to experiment with.
So glad for this video! So many options to build off of these. Thank you

Yo! You should totally do barrels next!
YAAS more miscast!
Dude you could just film anything hobby related at all and I'd watch it.

for the budget coffee, add a bit of salt, just normal cooking salt. It tastes better :)
Thats awesome
Cheers mate!
Fantastic as always. GW put out brewhouse bash as a PDF, you should be able to find it somewhere
Yesssssssssssssss!!!!!!!
I have that caster as the magister for my lovecraft inspired possessed warband for mordheim
Thank God i have a magnifiying googles. Imagine the difficulty cutting those small stools.
No joke, I wish I had some!
I didn’t realize you played Mordheim. Nice
Yeah man! It's a favorite. I have dwarves and carnivals of chaos
Miscast or as my witch hunters would call them - firewood! 🔥🔥🔨☄️
Would love to see some scale barrels with this
2:11 The word you want is "funky".
I use tomato puree tubes for banners but i think it will work for this too. but its gold usually.

Great to see wood made out of wood
Neat models.

I think what you are looking for is beer spills

Hello sir... M from india.. Ur wrk is amazing.. Can you tell me that which material do you use to make wood table... Thank you.. 😊
Balsa wood :)
@@Miscast thanks for rply... 😊
@miscast How does the coffee foil compare to regular aluminium?
I assume it is aluminium just thicker than something like aluminium foil if that's you what mean.
I got mad skills
What does he say at 00:22? Bolsterwood? Buzeerwood? Throat wobbler mangrove?
Balsa wood, sorry I have a thick tongue
@@Miscast it's because of all the hair.
balsa wood its a very soft wood and its used in crafting becose of it being soft
@@Miscast Thanks! I am not native in English.
Awesome.
Fucking outstanding as always!
What type of glue are you using? Wood glue?
Dude, medicin, coffee, all have this kind of paper.
nice!
Spends all video talking about how happy he is making these models, shows up at the end like he just had the worst day of his life lol
Lol!
Do you plan to experiment with molding/casting? I see you're using epoxy.
I already have a little bit, but not much on the channel. It's very expensive to get into at this point, so in the future yes!
If that foil is gold does that make it nescafe gold? Also milk is scarily absent from last scene, unless you put it in the cup first...
Hahaha. Don't worry I put it in the cup first.
What is this style of table called? When I search for metal banded table, all I get are images of tables with metal banding along the edge of the table.
Not sure. I found the style by searching "medieval table".
Great vid
Thank you :)
Will this also work with International Roast lids?
I'll have to pop to woolies and check
Honestly I love it ;) I have some game that use flat cardboard as a table, so it's time for an upgrade :)
BTW - check Anno Domini 1666 ;)
Why when i'm playing warhammer you post a video with "Today is a good day"?
What glue are you using for all the balsa wood stuff?
At first PVA glue, but it would reactivate in the wood varnish so I switched to superglue
@@Miscast got it thanks!
great, now I want to spend a lot of time on this even thou nobody will notice this on the wargaming table.
Exactly.
