It's still new that's part of the reason. But it's the fastest growing type of racing right now it's slowly coming here and once more people figure out this exists it will be very popular because more people can afford to do this.
Yeah, my neighbor just bought a side by side for her and her husband to fart around in, shit was like 58k USD. Way over priced. I bet one could build one of these for around 10k. That is with access to proper tools. Metal isn't that expensive. A little bit of welding knowledge and maybe some computer software knowledge like Cad you could easily build yourself a frame. Engine kits are reasonably inexpensive as well.
@@papierosnikzlotniskowca7255 i watch various TH-cam channels and see different prices for each part. There are many websites which sell commercial buggies (the boring ones). So i have like pretty good feel about costs but nothing serious.

Same, this is a first. I really want to find the schematics for one of these karts. Was looking online for a bit of motivation for our garage. (Edit for spelling errors.)
Many cars are engineered for straight line speed and are hopeless at cornering. I'm pretty sure these awesome little creatures are incapable of going straight! Frankly, drifting does absolutely nothing for me - can't see the appeal. Driving at this level has to require skills waaaay beyond that lot. Beautiful to watch and thanks for sharing! :-) Dave
Wow, it’s almost 99% of people including me that have seen this for the first time, those engines sound like 1000 cc inline Sport Bikes, unbelievably grip.
if those 3 wheel contraptions these days are street legal in USA surely I can get a cross kart and make it street legal too like the caterham type vehicles. These look safer than the 3 wheel spyders too due to roll cage, windshield and harness.
Awesome! and apparently uncrashable too. So want one. Sure like to see Hamilton, Vettel, Vestappen, Scott Dixon, Earnhardt Jnr, Sebastian Lobe, Rossi or whoever do some cross competition racing in a McClaren or Alpha Romeo or Honda versions of these things.
Very fast and fun. It seems like they all have very soft suspension with a lot of body roll. Is there somekind of regulation that doesnt allow harder anti roll bars or is such a soft setup more suitable?
+Simon Slana Hello there, I guess they dont have any anti roll bars. To keep it agile and rotational mass low, they choose smaller tires, this leads to smaller uprights, direct mount suspensions, this causes higher motion ratio and softer feel. Arm connections are low and chassis' higher center of gravity causes roll combined with low wheel rates. But the question is, in this case of high roll angles why they do not use anti roll bars, and my assumption is, they want predictable, high traction and flat out speed machines. These cars are also racing in gravel conditions with their large wheel travel abilities.
+RUDY COURSEDECOTE : Are there kits, or plans available? There are some really good drivers out there, and like the man said the karts have grown into something.
Hello, initially, these cars are homologated to run on dirt circuits, but in the Provincial HillClimb Championship of Belgium, these cars are permitted to roll, unfortunately not allowed in many countries...
I almost killed myself to see crosskarts doing time attack on asphalt cause I'm planning on building a cheap full suspension go kart to use the park-garden walkway as a racetrack when it's empty.

probably Because these are powered by a 600cc or 1000 cc motorcycle engine.

they probably want the weight to transfer to the front to provide more grip, then just deal with the rear by modulating the power/brakes
