Einstein’s English sounds pretty mature to me. It’s just that they have thick accents. A lot of germans do ;p But the english they use is pretty good. Also I think intelligence has a lot to do with language learning. Though even people with below average intelligence can pick up languages. It does help a lot if you have cognitive strengths in certain areas. For being able to remember vocabulary, not having to repeat it as often as the average learner. Being able to organize your learning. If you’re an adult learning on your own, that’s a necessary skill. And grammar can get pretty complicated for certain languages. You’ll definitely have more advantages being more intelligent. But then again, anyone could pick up a new language with enough exposure. For adults that isn’t always available to us, naturally, so we need to rely more on our intelligence. Also having good understanding of meaning of words and abstract concepts in your native/first languages, that might also help with understanding meaning in other languages. To be fair having certain personality traits can sometimes be more important in language learning, mastery. You can be brilliant but if you have a low tolerance/are inflexible for differences, cultural, how a language might work completely different to your mother tongue then you can still have a hard time with it. Or if you just lack motivation, can’t enjoy the process of learning a language, and can’t deal with the frustrations, confusion, not knowing. Just thinking too much can be a hindrance, and with more intelligence also comes more thinking, instead of actually doing, immersing at times.
When doing public speaking in a foreign language it is customary/encouraged to speak with your accent, in many countries it is even a rule for statesmen
Yes, Australia is so expensive! Sydney is now more expensive than New York, Paris or London. I'm graduating soon and then I'm outta here ✈
