    I bought my 14600k on Prime deals for $220. I have been using it inside a mini ITX case for 1 month. Using a Kraken 280mm AIO over it and it runs at 50-56c while gaming (intensive cpu games). It has given me pure happiness.

    Hey Techno! new sub here i think comparing the price differences between the versions of K and KF (KF being that its unlocked and needs a standalone GPU it doesn't have integrated graphics which also brings down the price a bit! always worth noting. great video though I thought it was pretty funny when you were gonna tell us the last time that Intel had 3 + CPU launches off the same platform xD great stuff

    I finally upgraded my 10 year old i7 3770 to 12600k i got from black Friday sale. The difference is HUGE but based from this vid the generational difference between 12, 13 and 14 is minimal so my next upgrade is probably after 10 years again.

    Some positive criticism for you. Benching at 1440p and an older video card, you risk running into GPU bottlenecks. Running these benchmarks at 1080p would help prevent that from affecting your results. In all your benchmark runs (the ones you showed in your video), I can see that the CPU is showing about 20-60% utilization, while the GPU is showing above 95%...and that is what you are hoping to avoid. Please do not take this as a mean spirited comment...I am just trying to suggest a methodology tweak you can make for future videos.

      Thanks for the feedback. A 3080 is 1-2% below the performance of a 4070. What GPU do you suggest for 1440p?

      Because the guy is an idiot and is GPU bound because he knows nothing about benchmarking, don't bother teaching a clickbait liar.

    hey techo, i dont know much about cpus but in most fps games how much of an fps improvement would i generally see if i upgraded my i59400F to the i5 13600K? (gtx 1070)

    • @Techomode
      @Techomode  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You probably will see a jump in performance if you do that. But honestly the 9400f isn’t that bad. You would see a bigger performance jump if you upgraded the gtx 1070 to an rtx4060. The 13600k is an awesome CPU but a 1070 would be more of a bottleneck to that cpu than the 9400f is to the 4060. But typically if you have a good CPU, you can keep using longer than your GPU.

    I swapped 13500 to 14600kf, 20500p in cinebench23- 13500, 24600p for 14600kf.
    (184w and 80 degrees)So better and scores as it should ,but in 3dmark timespy i get very low on 14600kf ,at most 15500 cpu points, can it realy be because of ddr4 3600mhz ram?
    I bought the 14600kf on sale, same price as 13500. (Sold)
    But wouldnt say it was worth it, but fun to test.

    hey techo, i'm going to build a pc and i want to get 14600k (in my country price is almost the same to 13600k) and z690 motherboard with ddr5. but i have doubts about this chipset. seen some opinions, that 14th gen only needs z790 chipset and nothing below. do you think it's ok to build with z690 and 14600k? btw i can upgrade bios with special function, my doubts are that I will lose in performance

    • @Techomode

      I wouldn’t change as of right now for gaming. Unless you need better performance for multi core work loads, like video editing or 3d rendering.

      14600k is great for video editing. If the 13600k is a lot cheaper, I would just save the money and go with the 13th gen. If you’re going with a K series CPU. Go with a z690 or a z790 motherboard.
