I agree, the wide shots are far better
I feel like instead of one person per shot, it should be two people in one shot because there was too many cuts and it was distracting especially since a lot of people were talking, and I've only seen 10mins of it but I notice there were barely any wide angle shots too (but I'm assuming bcs they don't want to show the TV too much?)

I guess the wider angle they’re facing each other, not the camera. But agree I wanted to see their reactions to what was being said rather than just a close up

Only 10 mins in and this line up is great.
But I feel there’s a lot of camera switching. It would be good to have a wider shot of all 4 of you and then for more prolonged pieces of talking maybe then dial into each person but the constant switching cameras and faces makes this a harder to watch video because you have to stay more concentrated. Be good to see reactions of each other when you talk.
Even showing each couch in a stacked view so you can see all people at the same time

Lux and Cal with Simon assessing Randy's dealing of his personal situation is very bold, honest and refreshing. The way Randy's vlogs have been going have been very up and down. Each vlog has really good moments and moments that don't belong online. Simon, Cal and Lux, I been a fan of each one of you since 2014 what you guys are doing as people for Randy and for your principles is very honorable. That trio Simon, Cal and Lux is a real perfect power of three, you guy nearly always have different views and communicate them commedically with the viewer in consideration, could be a very good regular pod.
Levels on the pod now are so clear of old what’s good… still love it 🫶 but didn’t know what I was missing. Love freezy swapping it around and asking Randy and Simon the questions… felt like new content we don’t usually see!

Feel like there should be a zoom in transition towards the big TV, whenever the producers looks something up, to the screen recording of the TV, cos we can’t see what the TV screen is displaying in the zoomed out view.

As long as you're okay with your emotions/life being out there then it's fine. I do think some people can't deal with it and regret it, and some people open up publically and spiral. Randy opening up though the way he does has helped me with perspective on life and my situation as well. So I'm thankful he's open like he is. Goes back to each their own kinda thing.

also can you angle the sofas outwards the slightest. just so when the wideshot of the entire set is used, the camera and audience feel included and see your faces as you talk, just literally the slightest bit.

can yall chill w the camera angles, like they're watching and reacting to a video and the edit is just on randy, no hate to him. but the context is lost. if there are 4 people, just one angle with both guests on a couch is good. it will feel more like a conversation.

You know I really wish Simon would speak up more. He always just sits backs and listens. Even when it’s just Randy and him. Makes it seem like it’s more Randy’s podcast than both of theirs.
Eh I disagree tbh, I don't think Simon is purposely not speaking but he just doesn't talk as much as randy or freezy etc

I think it’s hard when one friend is chattier than the other. The chattier one is just happy to keep rambling without including the other, and it’s hard for some people to just butt in. I think it’s on Randy to ask Simon questions and let him give his opinion when he’s been yammering on for a while.

Randy I hope you take this as constructive criticism, you really need to stay on point and on topic. I’m glad Lux and Freezy was there to call you out on staying with the conversation as many many times on previous conversations where you struggle to flow with the conversation you immediately change the topic.
He'll sadly just accept it and won't improve, talks about it on his channel with dieting and sleep, acknowledges issues but finds it hard to change them

Genuinely the best episode in a long time on the channel. Freezy and Cal were great to listen to. First time thumbs upping one of your videos.
in my opinion, some shots on TV couldn't be seen properly like at 1:32:16 so would prefer an overlay of the screen on it
This was a great podcast. I’d just suggest having a wider angle because going back and forth can be distracting or if two people are talking you only see one person.
Lux being concerned for randy @5:17 is mad heartwarming
Watched 2 minutes and immediately annoyed that there are no wide shots or shots with 2 or more people. Go to the comments section and see everyone has the same critique, hopefully some changes for the next one, good set though, I think... only seen close ups..
