I never stayed at Hakone Pax Yoshino, but to my knowledge there is a bus that goes around Hakone and some bus stops are located near hotels. To find which bus stop is nearest to your hotel/ryokan you have to ask the hotel/ryokan or Trip Advisor forum or do some research.

Haha, Thanks for your comment.. the thing was, we had 3 big suitcases, and 3 small suitcases and we didn't know how we could put everything on the bus, that was why we decided to walk...

@@YinAndYang8081 Yeah, 6 suitcases could be a problem, but a bus ride would save you a lot of time and energy. Some people (including me & my family) prefer to travel light in Hakone, by either sending the large suitcases to the hotel in the next city after Hakone or put it in Station's luggage lockers.

Hi Yin and Yang I really love your videos of your trip to Japan and it is very helpful since we will be going there next March God Willing. I have a question about Hakone- did you purchase the Hakone freepass? If so was the Romancecar went directly to the Hakone Yumoto station or there was a stop in Odawara to take another train? Thank you.

Hey Levanaalkaly, appreciate your comment! Indeed, we got the Hakone Freepass. We acquired it at the Shinjuku Sightseeing Service Centre when we were buying our Romance Car tickets. The route is direct from Shinjuku and goes through Odawara, but there's no need to disembark at any point.

Exactly. Monks in the Buddhist tradition typically live with minimal possessions. It's a truly admirable philosophy.

How come you have to set up the beds yourself? Usually the staff sets up the beds for guests while they are out for dinner.
That’s a lot of luggage to lug around for an overnight visit.😂

Hah, we went to Japan for a 20-day trip, that's why we brought with us these suitcases.
