The animations are going to look a little weird depending on what gender you have selected for your character. I have the "default" male black prior selected, and the animations look pretty solid. However, I did notice during this video that the female animations looked a bit... off. Or kick them to the ground and them shove the shield in the throat which would've been a much more realistic approach consideting it would apply the full force of the body on a target that can't move anywhere to disperse the energy
For Voritgers Regards, what if she stabbed him in the foot, put her shield on her back to protect her rear and just beat the crap out of him by punching the warden in the face. Thoughts?? I’d love it 😂
So alarius's wrath, black prior edition? I want black prior to fight dirty, Gouge out eyes and stuff. I had an idea for my own Execution that Ubisoft (or anyone else) has never taken note of.
@@LLLs4me My idea for an original execution for prior went as follows: Prior would holster their shield and deliver a heavy slash across the throat (as setup for what happens next,) causing the opponent to spin around clutching their bleeding neck, maybe stumble away, but not make it very far and collapse. Prior would then walk up behind them and grip their head with his free hand, saying "Ego Negare vos misericordia." Meaning, "I deny you mercy." Then he would tear their head off kratos style, Holding it up to inspect it, before tossing it away like a piece of trash and returning his shield to his offhand.
For Ersebet’s prowess on the cool factor, I personally would give it a 4 largely because that execution fits the combat style of the black prior who fight with a sword and kite shield and how they viciously kill their opponents. How slowly or quickly they kill their opponents does not exactly matter to me. But that’s what I think on the cool factor. ( 14:46 )
After seeing the enemy PoV for the decapitation against the top of the shield I noticed that it is pointed out towards the Warden to catch his chin. So there is some space to go by the shield without hitting. °/L
man says that Vortiger holding the sword wrong... yet there is a sword style called Mordhau where you can use the cross guard and handle like a mace, with many of The Prior's hilts usually looking very pointed they would effectively act like a war pike.
Believe it or not, there are in fact shields where the bottom is, for lack of a better term, bladed. In particular, there was the Spiked Pavise, which could absolutely be used to stab an opponent's foot if you wanted to. Granted, wether or not BP has a spiked pavise depends on which shield you have equipped at the time Edit: Also, holding a sword by the blade actually was something that was done historically. Admittedly though, it was a technique mainly used for two handed swords as a way to mitigate a sword's weakness against plated armor
Based on the percentage of BP here, they've managed to topple both Kensei and Warmonger for 3rd place. Here's the placements accordingly based on Raven's results so far. 1st - Nuxia 2nd - Warden, Peacekeeper, Tiandi 3rd - Black Prior 4th - Warmonger, Kensei 5th - Warlord 6th - Berserker 7th - Gladiator, Raider, Shaman 8th - Orochi 9th - Shinobi
Hey Raven this is just a thought, I feel like Erzebet’s prowess could be a efficiency 3. The reason I think it could be is because when BP knocks the sword out of the neck using her shield I feel like it could damage the sword, which would mean it was less efficient due to the fact that they’re damaging their own weapon. Unless you don’t grade on them possibly damaging their weapons, making this statement completely invalid.
Well since you did 1 launch heavy and 1 Harbinger heavy, why not swap between the two? If you go this route, next character should be Shugoki, Conqueror or Jiang Jun! I’d like to see JJ next personally.
As a black prior main, I completely agree that the hero fest execution is terrible, had the same thoughts essentially. I was sitting in anticipation this entire video being a BP main
never really felt very strongly about the BP exes myself, mainly because i feel like there's a lot more you can do with a kite shield than just lean a person on it or use it like a glorified boxing glove
Genuine question. I learned in college history that knights would actually use the crossguards of their weapons to fight, seeing as they had chain mail gloves they could hold the bladed end and fight with it without hurting themselves. I think I remember Raven mentioning in one of his other videos that he's a History major, so I was just curious why he thinks that wouldn't apply here, that you couldn't use your sword to defend yourself against an enemy while holding the bladed end.
You can. My issue is not that he’s using the cross guard. My issue is that the cross guard would not grip the neck well enough to flip him. And even if it did, why would you use it again when you could efficiently use the blade instead. It’s not that it isn’t possible, it’s just not as efficient in this case.
For once I have nothing to argue against I agree with nearly everything. Although I do think the 2 handed beheading excution wouldn't work for a different reason then you do. The shield has a sharp point, if you stabbed it into the ground and then slammed it deeper by beating the guy's head down onto it I think it might stay standing although I'm not sure either. I'm convinced it might work cause blackprior had to put in effert to get the shield out of the ground which tells me it was atleast imbedded into the ground. Also if the shield is still thin enough that it doesn't cover the intire neck it should be possible to cut like that, cause you can always come in at a slight angle. The probleem I have with that excution is that he cut's with the very tip of his sword with just enough space to cover the intire neck. A cut that way would be increadably weak even with that amount of power behind it. As a averages rule you should try to hit your target down to 1/3 of it's full lenght of blade away from the tip, there it should still have a lot of mass, a lot of leverages and the blade is less likely to vibrate wildly on impact. There are exeptions though with weapons like viking age sword that have round tips cause all of the mass of blade is still precent at the tip which is why those swords were such savages cutters. This isn't the case for blackpriors "basterdtsword" though and that's why I think that excution wouldn't take the head off.
I thought BP was male as everyone referred to lhim as Vortiger? Also, the edge of the shield is supposed to be edged and serrated, hence the decapitation and dismemberment kinda hard to tell as it suffers from the same issue as Wardens sword.
No, I have a 3rd outfit slot for his full Chimera set with bright silver and all-white cloth. Chimera ornament included. It looks like how prior would look if they weren't an "Unholy crusader".
Me personally I hate the “slowly but surely” execution because the way the sword clips through the opponent. The black prior doesn’t pull back far enough to actually stab so it just kind of “appears” in the opponent’s chest and it just looks off and awkward to me
Yo raven just wanna say love these types of vids and could watch hours and hours listening. But i feel like you could give out 0/4s more liberally lol, probably skews ye final scores a little
Raven, I’ve have watch all of your execution rating videos, and I can say you were grading them all equally and fair. I respect you for that but, and this is a big but and I will not lie. you have graded Voitager regard too unfairly. I see that yes it can be unrealistic and the efficiency is out the room, but the coolness factor is wear I draw the line. It should have been more that a 1/4, it should have been a 4/4 nay a 16/4. That’s right, this execution should have been the best execution in for honor and in gaming history. Sincerely, Bad Toasty Ps. I like your videos, keep it going
With Erzebet's Prowess, I wouldn't rank it that high because of the chance to damage your sword by slamming the metal capped side directly into the blade edge. Cool exec, but damaging your weapons us not a great idea
Ok dude, you should consider if it’s a “show off” execution. Like during a duel, cause those maps typically have an audience. Some executions clearly are the executioner showing off their skill and not on a battlefield. Just a thought
I appreciate the thought. But, as I’ve said before, none of these executions are exclusive to duel scenarios, so I must treat them as if they are on the battlefield as well. It is not fair to apply battlefield efficiency to some and not others.
For the second execution I'd rather say a 1/4 because she literally releases her shield in the middle of battle. Just sayin, but great video regardless!
I think you should re rate BP with the male, he is so much more buff than the female an the animations are a bit cleaner. Might bring the score up and you could average both for a much cleaner final. Some other dual gender characters are like this but BP has the biggest difference. Love your videos and streams BTW, just wished you streamed at a better time for us brits 😢
Lowkey I only watched the Vortiger's Regards part of the video, because for the longest time, the execution was so awful, so terrible, and unsatisfying to executioner, equally as much so to the executed, I desperately wanted to see his reaction to it. This is easily the worst and most senseless execution in the game.
Ah, someone else who didn't listen to the intro video. I do not take the victims armor into consideration in these videos because we cannot control what enemy the warrior fights in a battle. What if this execution was performed on a shaman? A Shinobi? A Shaolin?
@@MyDadsBeatMe...Yes...that's the point. Because the execution itself is never changing, but the enemy opponent is often uncertain, it would be unfair to grade the executions with enemy armor considered since not all characters will have the same amount of armor. This keeps the grades fair for all characters.
@RavenKnightYT based on your grading system, yes, but it's meant to be silly rather than realistic because I think we all agree that decapitating someone with a shield is impossible . I do, however see your point as to why you dislike it
Congratulations! You wrote a comment so utterly nonsensical that I actually have no idea what to say to that. I love black prior. I always have. Because I graded his executions and found some to be of poor quality you just think I don't like him? I'm sorry, are you serious?
@@RavenKnightYT I will admit that I simply reacted, for which I apologize. it felt like when I compared this video to other similar videos. you were a quite a bit harsher with black prior.
im gonna say, head chopping like that is pretty realistic. especially in the hands of a trained warrior. i feel like this guy rates based off on himself and not the strength of in game warriors. and yes a shield can pierce the neck with ease
Ok, the first execution is kinda off. Like i really dont like the spin the warden is doing. It seems so unnatural so i would give it a 3/4 in realism I mean BP is just pulling the sword out and somehow the warden does a 180?
@@dragonbornexpress5650 still looks really weird to me. And wouldn't that be way to inconsistent? You have no control over his movement and if he does not fall onto the shield the whole thing falls apart

Because it's meant to be funny. You're supposed to laugh at how stupid it is.
Thoughts?? I’d love it 😂
Probably still would have failed at efficiency.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 yeah maybe…
So alarius's wrath, black prior edition? I want black prior to fight dirty, Gouge out eyes and stuff. I had an idea for my own Execution that Ubisoft (or anyone else) has never taken note of.
@@MementoMori7777 kinda and yes I’d also love to see some eye gauging….
… wait that sounds bad-
@@LLLs4me My idea for an original execution for prior went as follows:
Prior would holster their shield and deliver a heavy slash across the throat (as setup for what happens next,) causing the opponent to spin around clutching their bleeding neck, maybe stumble away, but not make it very far and collapse.
Severe Sentence reminds me of the scene from Robots.
*Slams face on shield* "OMG I as crazy as Astrea." *realizes he's still alive* "RAHHH"
Hey raven love your videos man keep up the good work is it possible to see centurions executions graded?
For Ersebet’s prowess on the cool factor, I personally would give it a 4 largely because that execution fits the combat style of the black prior who fight with a sword and kite shield and how they viciously kill their opponents. How slowly or quickly they kill their opponents does not exactly matter to me. But that’s what I think on the cool factor. ( 14:46 )
After seeing the enemy PoV for the decapitation against the top of the shield I noticed that it is pointed out towards the Warden to catch his chin. So there is some space to go by the shield without hitting. °/L
Vortiger's Regards is my favorite BP execution. I said it.
man says that Vortiger holding the sword wrong... yet there is a sword style called Mordhau where you can use the cross guard and handle like a mace, with many of The Prior's hilts usually looking very pointed they would effectively act like a war pike.
Believe it or not, there are in fact shields where the bottom is, for lack of a better term, bladed. In particular, there was the Spiked Pavise, which could absolutely be used to stab an opponent's foot if you wanted to. Granted, wether or not BP has a spiked pavise depends on which shield you have equipped at the time
Edit: Also, holding a sword by the blade actually was something that was done historically. Admittedly though, it was a technique mainly used for two handed swords as a way to mitigate a sword's weakness against plated armor
Yeah he took note of that for Warden's video, It was called Mordhau.
I can't wait for centurion in the hybrids
Based on the percentage of BP here, they've managed to topple both Kensei and Warmonger for 3rd place. Here's the placements accordingly based on Raven's results so far.
1st - Nuxia
2nd - Warden, Peacekeeper, Tiandi
3rd - Black Prior
4th - Warmonger, Kensei
5th - Warlord
6th - Berserker
7th - Gladiator, Raider, Shaman
8th - Orochi
9th - Shinobi
Hey Raven this is just a thought, I feel like Erzebet’s prowess could be a efficiency 3. The reason I think it could be is because when BP knocks the sword out of the neck using her shield I feel like it could damage the sword, which would mean it was less efficient due to the fact that they’re damaging their own weapon. Unless you don’t grade on them possibly damaging their weapons, making this statement completely invalid.
Hearing you rant is entertaining do more
idk if it's a bug or a feature but sometimes that i do "Malo Undique Clades" the opponent's head doesn't come off, dunno if that adds realism or not
BP can't help it she has to edge walk even in executions.
Hyped
Well since you did 1 launch heavy and 1 Harbinger heavy, why not swap between the two? If you go this route, next character should be Shugoki, Conqueror or Jiang Jun! I’d like to see JJ next personally.
As a black prior main, I completely agree that the hero fest execution is terrible, had the same thoughts essentially. I was sitting in anticipation this entire video being a BP main
Also bodies don’t just magically go limp. there is definitely a period of time before that happens
Wouldn’t you want to do a decapitation with the very end of ur weapon to get the most velocity?
never really felt very strongly about the BP exes myself, mainly because i feel like there's a lot more you can do with a kite shield than just lean a person on it or use it like a glorified boxing glove
@@RavenKnightYT oh okay, I understand now, that makes sense. Thank you for explaining!
My first favorite
Vortices regards is a 4 of 4 cool factor and thats not up for debate
For up to the hilt im suprized you didnt mention how she is holding the sharp part of the blade and with the yank you would cut uour fingers
Awesome
Is it odd to make a black prior drip without him being edgy?
No. There are 2 kinds of BP (maybe 3.) The Noble Knight, The Edgelord, and maybe a historical LARP.
Some of the best fashion I've seen is non-edgy, so no.
Not to say you can't make edgy BP drip. You can, but it's not a must.
No, I have a 3rd outfit slot for his full Chimera set with bright silver and all-white cloth. Chimera ornament included. It looks like how prior would look if they weren't an "Unholy crusader".
I hope you can do Shugo if you haven’t started already!
The bias is strong with this one.
Me personally I hate the “slowly but surely” execution because the way the sword clips through the opponent. The black prior doesn’t pull back far enough to actually stab so it just kind of “appears” in the opponent’s chest and it just looks off and awkward to me
Yse the male version. He rams it in and wrenches it around to dig it in more.
I hope he does the centurion soon I couldn’t find it
Yo raven just wanna say love these types of vids and could watch hours and hours listening. But i feel like you could give out 0/4s more liberally lol, probably skews ye final scores a little
At this point even tho it might be awful in a area he always gave a one so I don't know if it would be fair for him to give out zeros right now.
You should have given the shield throw execution a 0/16, as a bp main
Raven, I’ve have watch all of your execution rating videos, and I can say you were grading them all equally and fair. I respect you for that but, and this is a big but and I will not lie. you have graded Voitager regard too unfairly. I see that yes it can be unrealistic and the efficiency is out the room, but the coolness factor is wear I draw the line. It should have been more that a 1/4, it should have been a 4/4 nay a 16/4. That’s right, this execution should have been the best execution in for honor and in gaming history.
Sincerely, Bad Toasty
Ps. I like your videos, keep it going
With Erzebet's Prowess, I wouldn't rank it that high because of the chance to damage your sword by slamming the metal capped side directly into the blade edge. Cool exec, but damaging your weapons us not a great idea
When are making next kung fu panda video????
17:18 that's what she said
I think your game might have glitched on severe sentence cause the prior looks positioned wrong
Nice
Can you please do aramusha
When I get done with the heavies
What’s your get for this BP?
Lawbro soon pls 😩🙏
Sorry. I’m working through the heavies first. After that, I might do Lawbringer as my first hybrid
@@RavenKnightYT Alr sounds good thanks bro
Why were you so angry about Vortigers regards...💀
I think I explained my issues with it when I got to that executions. Lol.
Realism 4? Yeah you try slowly dragging your sword though chainmail
Ah, someone else who didn't listen to the intro video. I do not take the victims armor into consideration in these videos because we cannot control what enemy the warrior fights in a battle. What if this execution was performed on a shaman? A Shinobi? A Shaolin?
@@RavenKnightYT if it was then it works but it’s not like he uses a different cut on different characters
@@MyDadsBeatMe...Yes...that's the point. Because the execution itself is never changing, but the enemy opponent is often uncertain, it would be unfair to grade the executions with enemy armor considered since not all characters will have the same amount of armor. This keeps the grades fair for all characters.
@@RavenKnightYT but fair would be the opposite
Raven please react to lawbringer executions
I def aint the fashion police but that BP is uhhhhhhh… something
K
What do you mean? it's pretty usual for a black prior. Nothing that shocking really, it looks fine.
Vortigers regards is the best one wdym. Its meant to be goofy
I'm glad you liked it. :)
Still objectively bad.
@RavenKnightYT based on your grading system, yes, but it's meant to be silly rather than realistic because I think we all agree that decapitating someone with a shield is impossible . I do, however see your point as to why you dislike it
12:54 I cannot agree more, fuck that ex.
Do shugoki pliz
so you don't like black prior ok
Congratulations! You wrote a comment so utterly nonsensical that I actually have no idea what to say to that. I love black prior. I always have. Because I graded his executions and found some to be of poor quality you just think I don't like him? I'm sorry, are you serious?
@@RavenKnightYT I will admit that I simply reacted, for which I apologize. it felt like when I compared this video to other similar videos. you were a quite a bit harsher with black prior.
*insert offensive comment here*
im gonna say, head chopping like that is pretty realistic. especially in the hands of a trained warrior. i feel like this guy rates based off on himself and not the strength of in game warriors. and yes a shield can pierce the neck with ease
11:04 It's oddly humerous in the fact it's so unrealistic, plus the animation is a bit wonky. it really isn't their best work. lmao.
Ok, the first execution is kinda off. Like i really dont like the spin the warden is doing. It seems so unnatural so i would give it a 3/4 in realism
I mean BP is just pulling the sword out and somehow the warden does a 180?
Ain't just the sword doing that; Notice that she's pushing Warden off of the shield forward almost like a catapult.
@@dragonbornexpress5650 still looks really weird to me. And wouldn't that be way to inconsistent? You have no control over his movement and if he does not fall onto the shield the whole thing falls apart
Female prior doesn't seem as menacing
Vortigers regards is the worst execution in the game imo
Hyped for shield throw execution - one of the worst executions in the game, hard stop.
God why do you keep picking women on heroes that look better as men
I dunno. Why does it bother you?
Worst executions in the game.
