I'm gradually purchasing a set of serious steel bands to replace my sunpow bands before they split. They've been fantastic, though! I simply want to avoid not having bands when I need them. I have recently purchased a sportneer bar for dips and pull-ups. It's also been wonderful, and the bar doesn't require a lot of tension to hold your weight. I plan to utilize it for some ring push-ups as well. I remove the bar after the workout; I'm not sure if all that tension will wear down the door frame or the bar itself.
Nice! I love that I can close my door after use if I feel like just leaving it there (at least with how I have it set up. Hopefully your doorframe is all good with it as I've also enjoyed it way more than expected.
Wanted to try that upgraded GEKU bar you mentioned, it wasn't available so I just purchased a FOSER Portable Home Gym from Amazon that comes with carabiners, a 500 lbs capacity bar that's very similar in design, bands, and a lot more. It's just 30USD for all those things, in case you want to try it. Cheers mate.
Hello! Sorry to ask a question that’s unrelated to this video. I came across your channel while searching for videos about the Speediance Gym Monster and found your videos very interesting. However, I noticed that you no longer have the device in your training room. Are you no longer training with it, and if not, may I ask why?
I am running a 3 month test with only resistance bands (from Oct - Dec). I decided to remove ALL other equipment from my room while doing the test. I still have the Speediance, it's just sitting in my garage though. My biggest issue with it is the pricetag, but otherwise it is a solid home workout device.
We use the Serious Steel bands in our crossfit box. After 2 years of daily use and abuse for several classss a day, they are just reaching the point of no return and in need of replacing. I imagine my personal ones will last 5-6 years based on this metric. And yep, the resistance of these is much higher than a lot of the others on the mass market. Buy once, cry once.
It's not something I've had on my radar as I just do suitcase squats instead. I think the setup would just be more cumbersome than it is worth. I'll keep an eye on it though if I feel it could help improve my home workout.
@@GamerBodyI have stated doing the suitcase squat, and I really like it, I’m surprised that that exercise doesn’t get utilized more in workouts, I feel it in my thighs too, and I have just had knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago, and started using the suitcase squat, and it is great.
@@johnferro2314 that sounds great! I have a X3 bar, and the Clench footplate too. I like the Harambe 38 inch bands, thank you John for that information. I really appreciate it.
They run out of stock quite a bit with the newer products. It happened for the original bar and platform when I made those reviews. I hope they can get more made to keep the product alive as I think it is the best bar I've tried so far.
Ironically I switched from Serious Steel 37” bands back to my old Undersun and new Vector Athletics bands. Just like the stretch profile better. I agree that the new Geku bag is fantastic especially at the price point.
@josephroa4475 a board is about the only extra thing you need specifically clench because there are multiple ways to attach plus a thing with number to attach and progress those things last forever if you get it
I took it apart and it is in my garage. I want to see if I can get the resistance bands setup to a smaller footprint. It is nice having a standalone bar, but it did take up space and is a bit pricey for what it is. Otherwise, it works well. I really want the Bullbar but paying $400+ for it is too high for my liking (at least right now, I might reevaluate it in the future).

Hopefully that holds up for you! I don't think that bar could withstand my workouts, but maybe (can't knock it till you try it, right?)

Not bad! Especially with that type of use.
Do you ever plan to do a review on the vector squat belt someday?

Harambe 38” bands are the Best of the Best
And this bar isn’t available on Amazon. What Happened to it?
@@johnferro2314 may be out of stock at the moment. I know the board had the same issue.
@johnferro2314,I’m 6’3, can I do front squats with the 38 inch bands?
@ of course you can and depending on what equipment you are using it will probably be perfect for you vs 41 inch bands.

What if you had 41 serious steel
@ may be different, but trying to have less stuff not more at this point

The GEKU Bar is no longer available. Guess it actually wasn't that good after all?
It goes in and out of stock all the time. It should be back soon.
That aluminum bar is currently unavailable. 😭
It's been going in and out. I hope they are able to get more inventory for it. Same thing happened during the release of the original bar and board.
