    I'm gradually purchasing a set of serious steel bands to replace my sunpow bands before they split. They've been fantastic, though! I simply want to avoid not having bands when I need them. I have recently purchased a sportneer bar for dips and pull-ups. It's also been wonderful, and the bar doesn't require a lot of tension to hold your weight. I plan to utilize it for some ring push-ups as well. I remove the bar after the workout; I'm not sure if all that tension will wear down the door frame or the bar itself.

      Nice! I love that I can close my door after use if I feel like just leaving it there (at least with how I have it set up. Hopefully your doorframe is all good with it as I've also enjoyed it way more than expected.

    Wanted to try that upgraded GEKU bar you mentioned, it wasn't available so I just purchased a FOSER Portable Home Gym from Amazon that comes with carabiners, a 500 lbs capacity bar that's very similar in design, bands, and a lot more. It's just 30USD for all those things, in case you want to try it.
    Cheers mate.

      Hopefully that holds up for you! I don't think that bar could withstand my workouts, but maybe (can't knock it till you try it, right?)

    The handles you used for bands and neutral grip pull ups, what are they rated for?

      Hmm Im not sure. I took a look at the Amazon sales page, but it doesn't list anything. They hold my body weight (200lbs) easily right now, and have withstood the black Serious Steel band without any kind of bending. Seems pretty good for at least me needs.

    Solid video as always man! I have the original Geku bar and like it but the hooks on the end do seem to bend a little bit and therefore don’t rotate super well during a set. Does the new bar do better with that? Debating on getting it

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I think they bent slightly but it is really hard to tell without a before and after. I'm going to try and go through some older videos and see if I can tell in those if they bent. Otherwise, the new bar is fantastic!

    We use the Serious Steel bands in our crossfit box. After 2 years of daily use and abuse for several classss a day, they are just reaching the point of no return and in need of replacing. I imagine my personal ones will last 5-6 years based on this metric. And yep, the resistance of these is much higher than a lot of the others on the mass market. Buy once, cry once.

    Ironically I switched from Serious Steel 37” bands back to my old Undersun and new Vector Athletics bands. Just like the stretch profile better. I agree that the new Geku bag is fantastic especially at the price point.

      They run out of stock quite a bit with the newer products. It happened for the original bar and platform when I made those reviews. I hope they can get more made to keep the product alive as I think it is the best bar I've tried so far.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not something I've had on my radar as I just do suitcase squats instead. I think the setup would just be more cumbersome than it is worth. I'll keep an eye on it though if I feel it could help improve my home workout.

      @@GamerBodyI have stated doing the suitcase squat, and I really like it, I’m surprised that that exercise doesn’t get utilized more in workouts, I feel it in my thighs too, and I have just had knee replacement surgery 7 weeks ago, and started using the suitcase squat, and it is great.

    Hello! Sorry to ask a question that’s unrelated to this video. I came across your channel while searching for videos about the Speediance Gym Monster and found your videos very interesting. However, I noticed that you no longer have the device in your training room. Are you no longer training with it, and if not, may I ask why?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am running a 3 month test with only resistance bands (from Oct - Dec). I decided to remove ALL other equipment from my room while doing the test. I still have the Speediance, it's just sitting in my garage though. My biggest issue with it is the pricetag, but otherwise it is a solid home workout device.

    What happened to your BaseBar?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I took it apart and it is in my garage. I want to see if I can get the resistance bands setup to a smaller footprint. It is nice having a standalone bar, but it did take up space and is a bit pricey for what it is. Otherwise, it works well. I really want the Bullbar but paying $400+ for it is too high for my liking (at least right now, I might reevaluate it in the future).

    Why do you always sell overpriced items? If the resistance bands are 119 US dollars, why not just buy a gym membership card or a set of adjustable dumbbells? Any resistance band set that is over 30 US dollars is considered as robbery.

      @@yifeipei5484 It's certainly on the pricier side, the recommendation for bands at $30 is a poor one based on my personal experience with them snapping. I also snapped the UnderSun bands and that is why I went up another level. So far the Serious Steel have held up under a lot of resistance, but only time will tell. Do you have a brand you recommend?

      Cheap bands are no good for a few reasons. One reason is poor quality so they'll likely snap sooner. And another reason they'll probably won't have any good resistance.
