She inspires me so much. I couldn't talk until I was 3, now I have my own animation business working on visuals for lighting designers and musicians.

Considering that autistic people tend to see the world in pictures, that sounds like you are definitely in a business that uses your strengths, just as Temple Grandin is with animal handling.

I’m autistic and I got to meet her and personally talk to her, it was Awesome!!! She was very kind and attentive to me and Temple saw the good in me that mostly my mom and God sees.

I loved this movie. I take her advice on pushing my asperger's daughter. Turn off loud sounds, teach them formal social skills, eat as a family, teaching taking turns. She's an inspiration to me.

I agree with her about high-functioning autism and asperger's people not being pushed enough. I am one of them that if I would listen to my parents, siblings, and others, I would just be working at McDonald's. I am just glad that I can push myself to do more than those around me think I can do. I am in college and after college I have plans to go farther than my degree says I can...

I push for my daughter to realize she is smart beautiful and can do whatever she puts her mind to, and to see autism as a gift to open more doors then close them. She can do anything if not more then most kids. Temple grandin you are an inspiration and are a magnificent women and role model to many!

What an inspiring story,. I admire Dr. Grandin's energy and her wisdom in seeing the differences she experiences as gifts and talents, which indeed, they are.. As the movie repeats, "Nature is cruel, but we don't have to be." On that note, I was disappointed by a couple of cruel comments below by a poor ignorant soul who isn't lucky enough to have had teachers and parents to teach him manners and values, or perhaps he simply chose to ignore the values that would have given him the dignity and respect that Dr. Grandin has earned. And kudos to Temple Grandin's mother who persevered and refused to let ignorant people stop her daughter from becoming the great individual she is today. .

I have two very smart autistic boys and I'm always telling them about Dr. Grandin. She is such an inspiration. I'm happy this movie was made. My 17 year good started college at 16. He struggles with math. I tell him Dr. Grand in did too but she overcame it and is very successful so he can b successful too. I hope to meet her one day.

A whole set of people with talents that everyone used to write off. This is a wonderful thing Temple is teaching the world. We're all given talents and that's why we need to work together and listen to these people who know what they're talking about. The world means something different to each person who experiences it and that is the way it was meant to be. I'm so happy her potential wasn't wasted. She changed the world in a positive way and it's because she had a different viewpoint. That should be celebrated like all differences should be.

She needs to be the dean of the school of Temple Grandin at whatever university will put it together with her. How many autistic kids have those same expanded capacities and limited narrow needs? But they can be extraordinary the way she's extraordinary, and they need a path, led by someone THEY know understands them (like Temple), that presses and facilitates their education and occupational direction.

Ad hominem attacks dont detract from the validity of an argument, if anything they simply show the fervor of the person arguing. If you can't deal with dirty words then go join a fucking seminary. It isn't my job to censor my comments for the benefit of others.
There is no "Humane" method of eating meat if you are keeping cows encased in pens where they can't move whatsoever. Allowing cattle to roam in open fields for instance is slightly more human. But ultimately you are KILLING things.
