Firstly I want to say Congratulations to JH and Babajide. To my point, the reason why fraud has thrived in Nigeria is because of the MEDIA, yes media. There is no investigative journalism in Nigeria. People become rich overnight and there would be no media scrutiny. Take a look at politicians that turn billionaires overnight after just one term. The Media must take responsibility and scrutinize everyone in society. Take a look at Invictus Obi! How come no single journalist or media house questioned his origin?!

Nigerian Politicians constitute a larger portion of the problem. When you have the amount of money that they get away with monthly compared with what the average worker is paid, the difference is criminal The disparity has the disorientating effect on the millions of unemployed youths.
A possible solution would come in a dramatic way.
(1), Let the politicians reduce their drawings from the national treasury.
(2), Let the Government put in place an Intensive Agricultural REVOLUTION; (not the RUGA way)
The reasons for Agriculture are many.
(a) Agriculture has the capacity to provide employment for every cader of the citizenry; from labourer to even the top-class scientist and technologist.
(b) Nigeria has all the basic raw materials for Agriculture in every State of the country, namely; plenty of arable lands, water, weather, crops, plants, animals and human hands in various degrees of comparative advantages.
(c) Nigeria does not need "Foreign Exchange" for any of the raw materials; rather by HARVESTING and adding values to the raw materials Nigeria would earn enormous "Foreign Exchange" ANNUALLY; in addition to being food sufficient.
(d) By the time Nigeria would work to bring to their full potentials of the Agricultural products of plants and animals, many Industrial Technologies would have naturally come on the stream of Nigeria's development.
The beauty with Agriculture is that it is peaceful, environment-friendly and sustainably, self-regenerating.
To give a little more insight to the idea of Agricultural Revolution being herein conversed, it is pertinent to refer to what the Late Obafemi Awolowo achieved with exporting raw COCOA BEANS in the defunct Western Region; Free Education, 1st Television in Africa, 1st Sport Stadium in Africa, Many Housing Estates in all important towns in the Region, Many Farm Settlements throughout the Region. He paid all workers in the Region "Living Wage" and established the O'ODUA INVESTMENTS CONGLOMERATES from which even, the then Federal Government took loans!
Suppose the President was to capitalise on the IDEOLOGY of Agricultural REVOLUTION and cause serious attention to be given to working on cotton, groundnuts, grains, ginger, cattle in ranches, palms rubber, cashew, fisheries, piggeries and lot more other agricultural items, Nigeria would be earning revenues in the billions of dollars and have all Nigerians fully and happily employed, reducing crimes to very small levels and Nigeria would rule the world from Africa!

Mayo, u said more troops need to be recruited. l can tell u that in the current circumstance, lf the military carry out any recruitment exercise, now, it is boko haraam insurgents that the military will recruit. Rather, the military should employ the use of technology. These insurgents are coming out from a base, and that base is within the Nigerian territorial purview, can't the military make use of technology to detect hideouts and these insurgents and then launch an attack? its provoking to hear that the boko haram insurgents are the one launching an attack at the military bases.

The problems in Nigeria, is not about sharing Nigeria. The 100% problem that we are facing in that milk and honey country, 10% is from the leaders, 90% is from we the citizens of Nigeria.

I met one guy recently, he asked where I was from and I told him I am a Nigerian, he looked at me and said there are a lot of fruadsters I your country, I smiled and he followed up his argument, he said we received many emails from them. I said I also receive such emails. It was difficult for me to defend myself, but I was exonerated by a friend who knew me and told him this one is not like those one. He communicate with him in his language and I was relieved.
