2 of my friends just… disappeared. one of them i would always play with in a game with… “sky: children of the light” We would have fun together, but then one day, she suddenly never came online… I still remember some moments of us together. I quit the game ever since… The other one I could text. We got along, one day she said she was packing up for something… She never texted me back. I miss them both, it makes me cry how they didn’t even give explanation, not even a goodbye… It’s been a year, maybe more… I just hope they’re ok.
It happened to me too. But I was the one who never really came online. It took a year or two before I had the courage to text back to my online friends. But they quickly texted me back and told me it was fine and they were happy I was back online. The reason I left was probably my mental health. I didn't leave because I didn't have interest in them anymore. I left because I didn't know how to talk to them again. My mental health at a certain point worsened at the point where I drcided to delete everything that could've reminded me of my friends. But then I eventually, once I got better, I found the courage to talk to them again. I know how bad I probably made them feel. Because I did get ghosted from other people and close irl friends too. Some of my online friends left because of their problems with their families. Others moved on some common interests and others didn't have time. Some deleted the apps, or forgot about them. But I'm happy they welcomed me with open arms
