    How is the road from hanle to ukdungle? Is it steep+offroad or just plain road with offroad?

      There is an increase in altitude but not too steep, however there were quite a bit of offroad patches on that route.

    Is the route via ukdungle non off-road one is in better condition correct?

      From ukdungle the road is tarmac but till ukdungle it is mostly offroad.

    Which road is easiest to go umlinglaa from hanle

    • @travellingplaces
      @travellingplaces  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Going via Loma Fukche Demchok Umlingla route is easiest but unlikely you would be allowed on that road so take the route via Nurbula

      How about the road coming from Loma - dungti- koyul - Umling la?
      Also, for demchok would the permit from Leh suffice? Or we stopped at Umling La?

      The Loma-Koyul-Umling La road is probably the easiest route and also the most scenic but it would be difficult to get the permit for that route as it runs almost parallel to China border.
      There is no specific permit for Demchok but there is a checkpost just 2 km before demchok. It will completely depend on the situation and the army if they allow you beyond that point (normally they do allow but it is not 100%).

      This was recorded in August, Ladakh is in the rain shadow region so unlike in other parts of India there is limited impact of monsoons in Ladakh
