@HoroHigh369 You're going to LOVE the watch I wanted to show you, then! I'm hoping to have a video in December or January....not sure of the manufacturing status.
Me either, I just wonder why the choice if the front crystal is sapphire? Maybe because it’s so thin/narrow…the mineral glass is better for durability vs. scratches???
@WatchWitt on every diver watch they make this , seestern puts ceramic watchdives puts aluminum if they want their diver to look more luxurious. From what I heard ceramic is best option for bezel . Doxa charges you 200$ + if you want ceramic bezel instead of mineral which is bonkers 😂 no way . Yeah mineral glass is more durable than sapphire, but if you have multiple watches you won't wear this everyday , all the time so no problem
@casteltheghettomonk4392 The ceramic looks very glossy, too...love that look. I'm happy with this one, especially for the price, but just curious as always!
This was sent in from the manufacturer for review. The price I noted in the video, $128, is the sale price right now on their website. I think it's about $120 on AliExpress. Not sure what the price was during 11/11.
Beautiful color combination! Yes, I thought the bracelet sizing guide was a nice touch. A lot of enthusiasts that don't know how to size a bracelet may shy away from ordering a bracelet version watch...this is cool to have a simple guide included.
Good thing they changed the branding, there is no way anyone could've taken their old brand name seriously. They've had quite a few watches I've liked the look off but I didn't even consider them because of the name. My initials are WM so it works out quite nicely, I actually thought about making pretty much the same style of logo when I was making custom watches myself but I gave up on that since I couldn't figure out a good way to add a custom logo
I've had some brands where I questioned the name (Berny?) but the perceived quality allowed me to look the other way. I just couldn't do it with the old brand name! I'm glad they changed, because this seems to be a quality build. And notice they didn't cheap out on the bracelet (other than the signature on the clasp).
I purchased a WM 175 dive watch once they rebranded, could never had put up with Welly Merck on the dial. Really good customer service too. The first one arrived damaged, got a full refund and a replacement watch. Can’t expect better customer service than that.
It was through their Ali Express store. Was disappointed that it was damaged and it initially put me off the brand. The way the issue was dealt with though was reassuring, and I’ve had no issues with the replacement. I’d buy another based on that service, and the orange dial of this watch is tempting for a summer beater.
Awesome, thanks for the update! They've been easy to deal with on my end too. I can tell they're genuinely focused on growing the brand, so it sounds like they know the importance of great customer service!
@ yes I feel the same it’s an unusual homage I’m looking to pick up….holding out until price drops as most WM stuff does post-release. Just ordered their Miyota powered MM300 on a metal bracelet for $65 USD
@@WatchWitt I have the Tissot PR516 GL with the sunburst blue dial and floating indexes in stainless, i think it is a vastly underated watch especially when they go for under £200 looks awesome on the original jubilee bracelet, also check out the Citizen bull head they are also a bargain around £200 i have the silver grey dial version, looks very cool on the wrist
I actually just bought a Welly Merck, the black and orange version… not sure if it will be branded Welly Merck or WM. Either way, I don’t really care about the brand name… it’s a cheap Chinese watch for daily wear anyway.
If you bought this same model, it will be like this...WM. They're closing out some of the older models that still have the old name, but if you have lots of stock, you just have to sell it. Every new model will be WM branded.
@ the desert trail trilogy they offer are wild! The moon phase is abit too goofy for me-all your reviews r terrific! U could sell every Pontiac Aztek ever made & make the buyer feel like the bought a Jag🙌😂🏆
@@WatchWitt my wife was a gsm for a large Pontiac/gmc dealer here in Bay Area & she had one as a demo- terrible product-I was a finance mgr for a huge 5line dealership- I had a 95’ Vette as my demo🙌👍🏆
Love the new rebrand and the colours of this, but the hands seems mixed up to me, usually hour hands have the arrow head. I nice set of sword hands would have suited this a lot better to me.
I agree with you...having worn it a couple of days now, I've caught myself wanting to swap the hands mentally. The length of the minute hand helps, though. I think it's just that we're used to other watches with an arrow pointer hour. The rebrand was an important step for them to take!
I'm baffled by the hang up with Welly Merck. It's not the best, far from it. But I don't ever hear any hate for dumb stuff like Rdunae or Pagrne. Welly Merck could at least be pronounced.
You're right. And I don't know why I can get over some other names but not Welly Merck. I think because in my head, even though it's a throw away name, maybe I think it also has fashion brand connotations. But man, you're dead on that at least we can all pronounce it!
Right?! Well, I thought it was a good compromise. I mean, who knows where their name came from, but maybe the initials were to honor the original name. And they haven't changed their website name yet. I have a feeling that might stay until they do a re-direct.
I just saw on their website that they're going to claim that WM stands for "wrist moment." Should probably change the domain name before mentioning that...
That is a perfect summer watch!
Great colors, right?!
@ Would like to see same watch with different color combos… kind of like what San Martin did with the Avocado, Orange and Grapes on the SN0116.
@HoroHigh369 You're going to LOVE the watch I wanted to show you, then! I'm hoping to have a video in December or January....not sure of the manufacturing status.
Not a deal breaker for me mineral glass bezel , people got spoiled on aliexpres sapphire glass for less than 50 $ :) Amazing watch congrats

And love that it has instructions!

Thanks for introducing me to this watch, gonna buy one!!!
Hope you enjoy it! I'm really digging it. Case and bracelet are a great combo!

Pretty amazing price for an automatic diver!
Definitely! I mean, you can find other watches even cheaper, but this is definitely a quality build and unique case/bezel configuration.
oh Damn! I like it!
Yeah, great colors, and I LOVE this case and bezel combination!

Nice Zenith homage, I like it !
Yes, nice little tweaks here and there. I love this case, especially that side profile.
Hopefully Berny are taking notes and great review as always
What could Berny go by…just B? 😂 I’ll tell you, Berny is one of those to get over, though…they’re making some great watches lately!
Reminds me of the SS sub 600t
Yeah, the case a little, right? Love those squared off lug areas!
@ yep
It's a Zenith Defy homage which is unique.
I love obscure homages! Glad they really only took inspiration from the dial/handset/bezel...because I love this case shape!
@ yes I feel the same it’s an unusual homage I’m looking to pick up….holding out until price drops as most WM stuff does post-release. Just ordered their Miyota powered MM300 on a metal bracelet for $65 USD
@JSquaredDesigns Wow!
That looks like a winner for me. Would have loved applied indicies but you can’t have everything!
I'm with you, but the Zenith Defy Revival also has printed indices, so they're probably just sticking with that design.
Definitely echos of the Doxa / Seestern homage with case shape and colour way .
Man I love this case shape! Dial/handset/bezel is Zenith Defy inspired.
Nice, reminds me of a vintage Tissot PR516
Oh, yeah...with the squared off and hidden lugs! Bezel grip is similar too. Let's bring THAT one back!

Very vivid indeed! Glad they changed the branding too. Logo does reminds me of the W Laboratory logo. Neat watch tho 🎉
Love these colors! They did a great job. Can't wait to show you the watch I think is even more colorful...hopefully within a couple months.....
@WatchWitt oooooo interesting. I'll keep a look out 👀
I like the logo
It kind of looks like a stylized version of yours! 👍
Very cool
Really dig how this thickness is camouflaged! Definitely a cool watch!
happy Saturday Witt! Me no get why someone wouldn’t buy a watch due to the name. The watch itself? Meh😂
There have a been a few brands where the name has stopped me. I hope maybe you'll like some of the other watches I want to show you from WM!

Whatever...it doesn't say Welly Merck anymore!
zenith rip?
Dial matches the Zenith Defy Revival...case is different....

Lost me at the 20 mm lug width
I was expecting 22mm, since it's a 42mm case. But it wears great and doesn't look too narrow to me. So I guess I'm good with it!
It’s not a true divers watch. It’s more like a “desk diver” watch to me.😮😅😂Good review though.👍🏼
Oh, absolutely! Most watches in the general diver category now are desk divers. I still like the genre, though.
That why I won't buy a Hamilton watch. Nobody wants to be reminded of "poor lulu" every time they look at their watch. I'd rather have a Tag-Heuer.
I guess opinions of brand names run deeper than just Chinese manufacturers!
@@WatchWitt Yes, definitely.
I don't think the price is the same
@billsomerset238 No, but the Tag-Heuer guy took his 4th world title today 😆.
@@Tjalie-j6i Not really a TAG Heuer guy. Max only wears those in Red Bull garb. His actual watches are Patek and Rolex.
WM was still ten times better than that Addiesdive crap.
The name, or the watches? I like some Addiesdive watches. I've never really cared for the name, but not enough to make me stay away.
POS don’t waste your money.
How long did you own yours...I thought these just came out?
