An old-growth forest on the German border where Allied forces engage in devastating encounters. This game got a lot negative reviews but I personally enjoyed the campaign and probably one of my favorite campaigns I’ve played on COD.. I still play it often

Despite some of the guns being nothing like their real life counterparts and shit like giving the Germans Japanese weaponry…this campaign was actually pretty enjoyable surprisingly!!
The gun authenticity i felt was the only main issue with the campaign! Other than that, everything else seemed okay 😂
Its an MP-34
Waffe 28 is actually an MP28/II. The Germans, specifically the Waffen SS, made use of them because they were outside traditional army procurement.
But, fun historical note, the Japanese DID purchase the Bergmann 1920 (commerical MP18 with stick mags) and the Steyr-Solothurn S1-100 (commerical name of the MP34, which [IIRC] is a German designation for the weapon. The Japanese purchased them in relatively small quantities during the war in China. It’s clear to see the influence these two weapons had on the Type 100 design.
There actually were German guns in the PTO, Luger pistols were captured off Japanese in Indonesia when it was liberated

I used to play a lot of multiplayer on this, the war mode and prop hunt but it then got to the point of sitting in lobby’s forever. Was such a shame I really enjoyed this game
Weird fact: During Davis’s speech he says “first to cross the Rhine” which is actually false. The 369th “Hellfighters” were first across the Rhine. Davis probably said this because at the time the US Army was still segregated and didn’t want to give the credit to the African-Americans and Puerto Ricans of the 369th
True and the 369th later became part of the 93rd Infantry Division an all Black unit that also appeared in Vanguard which Howard's brother was fighting on Bougainville

Col. Davis is referring to the battle of Cantigny which took place in May 1918 along the Marne sector. It was the first American assault of WW1 and also paved the way for Germany's defeat in that war which would happen again in 1945
By some reason i see here you can actually aim down the sights of the .30 cal. But ive never been able to. It's like when i try, it zooms in but from the sides. So it's not like a full first person view of the aiming. Anyone know how to fix that?

Probably easy difficulty, i play this on hardened and you need to play realistically or else you'll be one shot by an enemy 50 yards away.
